"Never having had to hire someone to fix my AC unit only to install it (and the company was not reputable), I had serious trust issues. Action was the only one to contact me of all the suggested companies. That made me even more suspicious! They were able to fit me in for the next day. Hmm, more hesitation. But I rested in Action's good reviews on HomeAdvisor and kept the appointment. I was so happy I did. Mike was fantastic. He was personable and extremely informative. He knows his AC and heat pumps really well. I look forward to having them back in a couple of weeks to clean my furnace and do some cleaning and troubleshooting on a Hearthstone gas fireplace. When one finds a company one can trust, well, stick with them and get what needs to be done, done. I am so happy to have done something so out of my nature, like trusting HomeAdvisor. "Bill, his two sons, and two additional employees arrived on time and spent the entire day (approximately 11 hours) installing a new boiler as well as a new hot water tank, outside venting and a new oil line. Importantly, the crew was able to put both the boiler and hot water tank in a very confined area, thus eliminating having to use a portion of our basement that was designed (and being used) for storage. Though it's only been a week since the work was completed, everything is working properly and we anticipate that it will continue. As a result of the satisfaction we've experienced, I've already been asked to supply information referent to the company's workmanship, efficiency, proficiency, and cost to a good friend whose home is in need of boiler replacement."

"The work was done neatly. It looks good. However, the plumber told me that condensation of this type can be acidic and we would need an alkaline filter. Because of circumstances we were in a hurry and had no time to discuss or verify this information. A previous contractor whom I called to ask about a new furnace told me he would add a simple pump and hose to the cost of the furnace for $60. The installed filter looks very sophisticated and I believe added a lot to the cost of the job. The invoice was not itemized. I neither asked for nor received a cost estimate of the work to be done. The work may be fairly priced and necessary. It seems excessive, but I did not investigate. The fault, if there is any, is partly mine."
