Craig came to our home, evaluated the situation and created a great plan to fix everything. We ended up replacing the wood around the door and installing an entirely new door. Craig did an exceptional job at recreating the decorative brick mold we had on the door frame by using PVC products. He corrected all the previous issues and now gave us a new solution that will withstand the weather for years to come. Extremely happy with his professionalism, punctuality, flexibility and pricing. "Once again and with the highest confidence, we hired Russell's Contracting to convert our back entrance into a more open, useful mudroom. As promised, they arrived on time on the expected date and started by sealing off the back entrance for dust. The demolition of the closet was first done, and then the rehab began. I was amazed at the level of detail necessary to make the new mudroom perfect. From fixing the ceiling to installing new walls, taping and sanding, painting, new baseboards, and moving the overhead light, it was fun to watch. Colby was professional, exacting, efficient, clean, and asked all the right questions to ensure we were happy with the result. The new mudroom is exactly what we wanted. In addition, we asked Russell's to help us figure out how to make our open staircase to the second floor safer. Keith, Colby, and Max designed and installed a custom-built, stair-to-ceiling railing system that looks great and provides the necessary safety we were looking for. They also made it removable to accommodate large objects up and down stairs. The amount of time they spent was crazy, and the amount of math they did to ensure it was plumb and solid was above and beyond our expectations. My house was built in 1933, and this railing system looks like it could have been original to the house. It is a masterpiece. Everyone at Russell's Contracting we have met and who has worked on our house has been exceptional. You can stop scrolling for contractors; call Russell's."

"C&O Contracting owned by Bob Ouilette has a business of using poor materials, as a result his workmanship needs to be fixed within weeks. He then becomes overwhelmed faced with fixing everything from using rusting fencing to building in an air ventilator askew so its not facing the window. Then he finally takes the money and runs. Telling you he will come and fix it next week.... Meanwhile I had to get his hacked workmanship fixed properly by others."

"Boyd Building had done some work for us in the past so when we needed a major deck and porch rebuild and finish, we knew Shawn would be the only one to call. Shawn always goes above and beyond in planning and executing our projects. He once told me that he puts the same amount of quality and care into the work he does on a customer's home as he would on his own home and I truly believe him. His work is detailed and meticulous. The job he did remodeling our outside space is top quality. There is not one thing we had to question. We love everything! Beyond that he is reliable, honest, trustworthy, hardworking and a really nice guy. We can't possibly recommend Boyd Building any higher! 5 stars don't seem like enough! "

"Signed contract on May 8 for deck build.On May 12 rep came to my office to collect deposit of apprx $13,000. He said project team meeting on Wed & would update me then on start date etc. On Fri May 16 I had to reach out to him. He wrote the team had met & materials were ordered. An hour later he wrote back that he was misinformed & that his boss was going to call me next week. Despite this, dep check cashed. On Mon 5. 20 rep wrote back that they had forgotten certain costs & to proceed it would be $8,000 more. Not a typo. $8,000 more. No apology. Ridiculous, contract rescinded. I wrote that he could return my deposit at my office just as he had collected it. On Wednesday the 21st I got a text from "Tom," presumably the owner/boss, saying he would "drop a check in the mail" to my address. Today is May 30th, Friday, and still no check. Check at a minimum should have been overnighted. They owe me interest not to mention the deposit to hire a contractor who will honor contract. Bad."

"Contracted the brothers to do a 10X10 deck in July 2023 and they made the committment to come finish the job and my phone calls have gone unanswered. True I made the final payment and trusted them,my bad. However,unless you want to pay for incomplete work PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THESE GUYS."
