"This is our second year with Matt and his crew. Matt is not only professional but very honest. He will always answer your phone calls if you have any questions or concerns or get back to you immediately. He is very pleasant to do business with. I had an extension cord covered with snow running across my driveway at Cristmas time which I should have moved but had forgotten about .When one of Matt's crew hit it because he couldn't see that it was there Matt immediately called to tell me what had happened. These are the kind of people I want to do business with."

"junior started exactly on time every day & worked late if rain was forecast the following days. He did exactly what we wanted & made suggestions that we agreed to. Work was impeccable. He & his employees were polite & the work they did was worth every dollar we spent. They did several minor things for no charge. He is now our go-to guy when we need things done. There is nothing he and his employees cannot do. Refurbished our 28x18deck. Replaced many sections of our post & rail fence. Opened our pool. Cut down 4 trees. Cut them up. Cut up our 50 year old tree house that fell. Ordered the dumpsters & loaded them. Replaced the deck furniture. Put the cover & curtains on the gazebo. Removed deteriorated cover on port.able 10x20 portable garage & installed new one. Cleared leaves from greenery in front of house & planted 3 new arborvitae. Refurbished our deteriorating bow window. He & his crew are Amazing!!!"

"My 8 year old Sears Craftsman GT 5000 died on me a couple of weeks ago. I called Kevin on a Thursday morning, and he to bring it over and he could work on it right away. I brought it to Kevin's that afternoon. On Friday he performed a complete servicing of the tractor (spark plugs, oil and oil filter, fuel filter, greased all fittings and even sharpened the 3 lawn mower blades), and only charged me 1 extra hour of labor (plus the cost of the part) to diagnose and replace the broken fuel pump that was the reason the tractor stopped running.
I picked it up on Saturday. That was the fastest turnaround I have ever had on a piece of broken machinery.
Kevin is very honest, he volunteered the information that there would be 25% discount on this first job since we found him on Angie's list.
The tractor runs great now, and Kevin was a pleasure to do business with. I highly recommend him.
As a matter of fact, I was so happy with his work, that when I went to pick up the tractor I brought him my snow blower to service, and my DR trimmer (which wasn't working).

"I reached out to Mark via email to remove snow and ice from my roof. He was at my house the next morning to survey the job and provide a quote. Mark and his team quoted a fair price and performed the work we agreed upon quickly and professionally. His team also cleared off the deck and pathways after snow was removed from the roof. Overall, Mark and his team did an excellent job and I would recommend them for this type of service."

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

Natural ice melts can often get the job done without damaging concrete. You can try non-corrosive options such as kitty litter, alfalfa meal, coffee grounds, sugar beet juice, and heated snow-melting mats. While they may cause some staining, these natural melts are safe for concrete, pets, and the environment.

Yes, many providers offer emergency services during severe weather. Confirm availability with your contractor.

Snowblowers come in three different sizes: first-, second-, and third-stage blowers. Each additional stage is larger with higher intakes, more powerful, and has more gear options.

A first-stage blower, also called a snow thrower, is usually best for snow 6 to 8 inches or below. Electric snow blowers are usually only available in this size. If you regularly get snow that’s well above six inches, consider a second-stage snow blower. If snowstorms dump 2 to 3 feet of snow repeatedly during winter, you need a third-stage snow blower to tackle it.

It is not advisable to use salt on your roof to prevent or remove ice dams. It’s not only mostly ineffective but can also cause serious damage to your roof itself. Salt can rust metal, damage masonry, pit shingles, and cause runoff that’s damaging to plants and animals.

Some commercial services use sand when clearing ice, but that’s to add instant traction, not to melt the ice. While you can scatter kitty litter, sand, or similar substances on steps, paths, or porches to improve safety during icy conditions, they won’t help melt hardened ice. Rely on salt or other de-icing methods to fully melt away stubborn ice.
