"I needed the ducts cleaned in our home. Gary went above and beyond. I would highly recommend them. He took the time to explain the whole process and did a thorough inspection of the ductwork when they noticed an issue with one of the ducts. they went above and beyond. I would highly recommend them for all your ductwork cleaning. If I could I would give them 10 stars."

"Our house needed a full exterior paint job pretty badly. The trim was peeling everywhere and the siding (cedar shingles) were covered with mildew. I found 4pro painters on Angie's list with excellent reviews, so I decided to give them a call. Dan answered while on the ladder at another job! He climbed down to take my information and chatted with me about the job for several minutes before setting up a time to come by to look at the house. He came by at the time we agreed and went all around the house and talked about each aspect of the job. He even gave me a ballpark verbal estimate but would send an official estimate after taking some measurements. The estimate was higher than we had hoped to pay for the job, but after talking to Dan about all the prep that they do, and the warranty they offer, we decided it was worth it to get the job done right. When they showed up to start pressure washing and cleaning the mildew from the siding, it became obvious that the prep was going to be a bigger job than Dan originally thought. They spent 3 or 4 full days just pressure washing and cleaning the mildew off the siding. This left a kind of fuzz on the cedar shingles from pressure washing the top layer off. Well, they went around and palm sanded the ENTIRE house to clean that up, leaving the siding looking brand new. It was shocking to see the difference. This fall (2018) has been unusually wet and cold, which made the job challenging. It seemed to rain every other day along with several very cold spells. Dan was great about keeping communication open about what was happening, what days they thought they could come to do each part of the work safely without jeopardizing the quality or bonding of the paint/stain. They shifted around the whole schedule of work to try to fit everything in around the weather, but it was getting stressful as we were getting into November and the strings of cold/wet days were making it difficult to get the stain on the siding. It got to the point where if there was a dry warm day in the forecast, that had to be the day to finish everything. That day finally came and they were here from before sunup to after sundown with no breaks to finish. Overall, I'm very happy with the work. They went above and beyond on many things. The extra cleaning and sanding on the siding, re-priming just about every piece of trim (which wasn't in the original scope), and working with us to find the right color and type of stain. Through all of this, Dan didn't ask for an extra penny over the original quote. They won't be the cheapest that you can find, but they're honest, friendly, and thorough."

Anything that might have been exposed to fumigation chemicals should be washed before use. Wipe down and sanitize surfaces like countertops and tables, and wash all utensils (or take care to store them in an airtight box beforehand), as well as anything else that could find its way into someone’s mouth, like kid or pet toys.

The main difference between a general cleaning and a deep clean is that a general cleaning focuses on regular maintenance, while a deep clean hones in on the nitty gritty details of cleaning that may not impact your day-to-day life. For example, it’s important to wipe down your counter and have a clean place to cook regularly, but you may not think twice about pulling out your stove to clean behind it until it’s time for a deep cleaning.

While a biohazard cleanup sounds like a scary process, knowing what to expect can help ease your concerns and set you up for success. It’s good to note that more than one professional might be needed depending on your situation, but that will be determined during the assessment. What you can expect during a home biohazard cleanup is the following:

  • Assessment: The first step in this process is for a biohazard cleanup professional to assess the damage. They create a report that includes the biohazard safety level, the needed damage cleanup, and the time it should take to complete the project.

  • Setup: The cleanup professional prepares the site to prevent cross-contamination and reduce toxicity risk. This process can include tarping and creating decontamination zones.

  • Removal of surface contamination: Any contaminated materials are removed from the area, starting with large materials followed by small ones. The professional can assess any floor-related damage once everything is removed from the site.

  • Salvaging items: The biohazard cleanup professionals assess which items can be saved and which are contaminated beyond the point of saving. Those deemed unsafe will be disposed of immediately.

  • Waste disposal: The next step is carefully disposing of the hazardous waste. Your professional will place the contaminated items in specific containers to keep the contamination from spreading.

  • Disinfection: The house will be disinfected and odor-neutralized. Even more minor details, like light switches and bulbs, will be disinfected so that they do not recontaminate the area in the future.

  • Restoration: Once the decontamination is complete, the last step is to restore the home. This includes repairing the damage to flooring, walls, or even the home's foundation.

These hardworking scrubbers should be replaced every six months. Most toilet brushes have nylon bristles, and over time, these bristles can bend, fray, or fall out, reducing the effectiveness of the brush. Silicone brushes hold their shape longer, but the softer bristles are less effective at removing residue and build-up. To clean your toilet brush after use, spray it with a disinfecting cleaner and let it air dry by closing the handle under the toilet seat and letting the brush head drip into the toilet bowl.
