Walley’s is not your average HVAC contractor. From our in-house sales and support center to our modern fleet of licensed technicians, our team has the tools, trucks, and training to handle all of your mechanical needs. But more than that, we are committed to giving back and playing a bigger role in our community. Through our work with local charities, educational providers, and our continued efforts towards promoting energy-efficient products, ethical business practices, and enforcing the highest industry standards, Walley’s is delivering real value to the community every day! Our entire team is grateful for the opportunity to show you what we are made of. Thank you for your consideration.

"Badly. 2 different techs came out. We paid for a Premium service and within hours of that tech coming out, our burner stopped working completely. Mind you there is a snowstorm. They sent out a new technician and he saw nothing wrong with the system at all. He said we had no oil. He said there was no footprints even going to my intake on the side of my house. It had snowed 2 times since oil was delivered, so that makes no sense. The tech was absolutely sure we had no oil. 3 days since the first visit now and we had oil delivered and the tank filled completely. Only 150 gallons went into my 250 gallon tank. So that's wrong. And I look at the front of my furnace and now see a slow drip from the front underneath the box on the front of the furnace. First tech recommended i replace the electrodes but said it didnt need it. Second tech didnt even mention that and said our system was good. Now, I will have to contact Angi for support and my insurance company. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE"

"We started having water leaks on a basement wall. Started slow but increased. We made the mistake of calling the big name TC H......, waited weeks to schedule first appointment. Finally showed up and proposed major excavation of basement wall, then applying new membrane. Unfortunately in our house, every external connection arrives via that wall. Talking electric, cable, septic, well water, and sprinkler. They wanted to use excavator to dig but wouldn't take responsibility for any potential damage. Price tag was very high. I was very nervous about this of course. I saw one source of water was around well pipe and other was wall itself. Contacted Marquis Well in Sanford who showed up immediately. Proposed hand digging at a lower price. They scheduled quickly, hand dug all the dirt, found Crack in water pipe casing and sealed up. But wall still had issue. Searched further and found Groundworks, lots of positive reviews. Called and they arrived quickly to assess. Beth is a true professional who knows her business extremely well. We signed proposal to inject sealant into cracks from inside of wall. Josh arrived to perform the work. He was effecient, very experienced who knew exactly what to do. During his inspection, he recommended bypassing one of the smaller Crack where water was never seen, thereby reducing our costs....unheard of! He completed the work quickly, zero mess or damage to our house. I cannot recommend both of these companies any higher. Both were outstanding in every aspect. Don't fall for the big ads from the others!"

"I strongly caution anyone considering doing business with this company. I gave them a deposit of $4,428.65, and when I canceled a week later they kept almost $900 of it even though my service was not for another 6 weeks. You do sign a very simple, clearly stated document that says, “Should you cancel beyond three business days, you understand your deposit is non-refundable. Northern Basements may choose to refund depending on cancellation circumstances.” I fully acknowledge that I canceled a few days outside that window, but I hoped an honest company that cares about customers and referrals would choose to provide a full refund. I am a sucker for hoping that. They chose to risk my impression, referral and review for $885.53. If nothing else comes out of this, I hope everyone reading at least goes in knowing that this statement on their contract is a real threat and your deposit is hostage. Even Airbnb’s offer full refunds on deposits within just a few days of people’s arrival date. 3 days to cancel with service not scheduled for 6 weeks out, “C’mon man.” No materials were used. No service workers’ time was taken. The manager justified the 20% withholding as credit card fees, restocking fees, time and resources for the estimate, and administrative fees. I wholly accepted responsibility for the credit card fees and time of Paul, the gentleman who performed the assessment, and I offered to settle at 10%. I still believe any reputable company would have provided a full refund at this point in a project, or at most deduct the credit card fees, because nothing more went into this beyond what would have normally been a free estimate. The further arguments the manager made for the additional fees were the scheduling of their team and allocation of materials for my project. Complete nonsense, especially when the project was not set for 6 weeks away. Because they had my deposit hostage, they had control of how much they decided they wanted to keep, it was completely arbitrary, and they kept almost $900 of my money without providing anything. If they wanted to cover their credit card transaction fees, fine, at most 6%, but the rest is absolute robbery. The only solace I can find in this loss of almost $900 now is that I didn’t spend another $13,000 with them. I tried to call Paul after speaking with the manager to ask if he could do me a favor and try to reason with the manager on my behalf because he seemed like a nice enough guy. No answer. No call back. I will never seek out this company’s services again and I will actively discourage others from doing so but, based on my experience, I expect they really don’t care."

Foundation drain installation services FAQs

Yes, most states require plumbers to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

The cost to finish a basement is $18,400 for the average homeowner. However, this cost could be as little as $2,800 or as much as $34,500, depending on the basement size and the materials needed. If your basement is already outfitted with electrical and plumbing, expect the cost to fall on the lower end.

For example, the drywall cost for this project averages around $1,750, but other features, like hiring a plumber, cost between $45 and $200 per hour.

The cost to remodel a basement is between $12,100 and $33,400 for the average homeowner. The price you pay can be as little as $3,500 or as much as $50,200, depending on the size and condition of your basement and the type of remodel you're doing.

If you're doing a simple project like adding a home office to your basement, you can expect to pay anywhere from $500 to $3,000. However, if you're adding a bathroom, which is an extensive project, you can expect to pay between $6,600 to $16,500.

Foundation repairs cost about $5,000, on average. Typically, prices range from $2,200 to $7,800, depending on the type and extent of repairs needed. Cost factors include foundation type, home size, soil stability, accessibility, and the ultimate cause of the problem and what methods and materials are required to fix it.

The cost of basement waterproofing is $4,950 for the average homeowner. However, you could end up paying between $600 and $14,000, depending on factors like basement size, waterproofing method, and the region you live in.

If you live in an area with heavy rainfall, you might be paying more for waterproofing than if you lived somewhere drier since waterproofing contractors would be in high demand. Likewise, a 500-foot basement costs between $2,500 and $5,000 to waterproof, but that price rises significantly for a larger basement.
