"The job was fairly straightforward and I had already procured the sink and most of the additional supplies but the job required some replumbing of both the water supply and drain. The master plumber worked efficiently and professionally and the job was completed in a few hours. The cost was determined from a standard table in a notebook but does not take into account the complexity of the job or whether materials are supplied by owner. Since I supplied most of the materials (plumber supplied valves and pipe and drain fittings) the price seemed rather high for around 3 hours work. However, I've had no professional plumbing work done recently and thus have nothing to compare it to. The plumber was very pleasant and professional and the work of high quality. I have no other complaints."

Over the last 2 years, we noticed that some lawn depressions were forming on the side of the property that borders protected wetlands managed by The Nature Conservancy. Concerned about the increasing size of these depressions over time, we contacted John Welch, the owner of JWs Landscape Construction. John followed up immediately with a site visit and opinion that the cause of the depressions was burial of tree stumps and other debris when the contractor cleared the lot to build the house. John quickly provided us with an estimate to excavate and remove the trunks and return the lawn to its original condition. John and his team did an excellent job. It was amazing how many tree stumps had been buried in this area. We also have a lawn sprinkler system and his team was very careful about ensuring there was minimal disruption to the lines and heads. His knowledge about these sink holes proved valuable as well. I would highly recommend him to anyone who suspects they have this issue occurring on their property."

"Mixed review I had spoken with other radon remediation companies and received quotes before meeting with Erickson Foundation Solutions. The salesman, Chris, seemed much more thorough in his approach and he gave a presentation explaining radon, its danger and the process to remove it. The quote was slightly higher than another quote, but I felt more confident. And with the added fan moisture guard, the system came with a 10-year warranty. So I agreed to the proposed plan and paid a deposit. Later I decided to not install concrete in the adjacent (but not connected) basement/crawl space. I asked Erickson to quote installation of plastic sheeting to seal that space. John, the sales manager’s quote doubled the total price. I already had found durable plastic sheeting for about $300. So how would that become $2000 extra? John explained that there would be a drainage mat under the plastic and it would be attached every few inches to the walls and then sealed with caulking. But besides sealing the area, the quote also included another extraction hole and piping to connect it to the fan. This seemed to me like over-kill for a 1200 square-foot house. But he said without the second extraction location, they would not warranty the job. So I accepted the “up-sell” and signed. Today the office called to tell me when the crew would arrive and they arrived on time and were very pleasant. However, they did not have the drainage mat. They called their supervisor and was told that it was not included in the quote and would be an additional charge. In fact it had been a verbal inclusion, not written. The crew was surprised that a second extraction hole was quoted, since the radon levels were not very high to start (3.8 and 5.4). So I feel that I accepted a possibly unnecessarily elaborate system, more elaborate than I probably really need, for twice the price. And didn’t receive the drainage mat that I was told would be part of it."

The whole time he is sharing knowledge and explaining the cause and effects and how the system is designed. When the job was finished, we went over the invoice. I couldnâ t believe the price! For emergency service, and the work that was done, the price was extremely fair. I highly recommend heritage plumbing and heating, and of course Derek."
