Customers say: Quick response

"Angie's list recommended them to me. I called Greg to request an estimate on installing a new boiler. Greg and Ben arrived when they said they would., Very professional gentlemen. After looking over my system and chatting a bit Greg made a couple of boiler recommendations. He sent me the quotes in a couple of days as he stated. I felt they were Very reasonable quotes but due to inflation we're a little more than I was planning on. I agreed on one , Greg ordered the boiler and told me he would call when it came in. About 10-12 days Greg called, said the boiler was in ,they had it assembled at the shop and could they bring it up that afternoon. They arrived when they said, got the boiler in the basement and said they would be back in the a.m. to install. When they arrived I asked if they minded me watching just see if I could p/u some pointers. What a pleasure to watch these 2 men work together. Very professional,,kept a very neat work area and paid exceptional attention to straight, level, and plum piping. When they finished Greg went over operation of the boiler and answered any questions I had. I will use them in the future as needed and HIGHLY recommend them to anyone."

"I posted I needed a window AC unit removed and this company was the only one to respond. The owners wife responded with in an hour, told me they would be at my house 3 days later. I responded, can you give me an estimate of how much it would cost. She responded, sir there is no charge, we just like helping out the community. I was shocked. Being on a fixed income. Craig arrived, removed the AC, and I started asking questions about mini split systems. He was here at least an hour explaining how they worked and my options. I have now ordered my new AC slash heatpump, to be installed. There was no pressure, just me asking questions and I loved what he had to say. Perfect gentleman."

"Sunrise Heating and Cooling did an excellent job installing my new Rinnai tankless water heater/boiler. From start to finish, the experience was smooth and professional. The crew was knowledgeable, punctual, and took the time to explain the system and answer all of my questions. The installation was clean, efficient, and clearly done with attention to detail. Everything works perfectly, and I couldn?t be happier with the upgrade. It?s clear they take pride in their work. If you?re looking for reliable, honest, and high-quality service, I highly recommend Sunrise Heating and Cooling."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

A home radiator works by using radiation and convection to transfer heat throughout your home. Electric radiators use metal to conduct heat and warm the air, which then rises to warm the room. Steam and hot water radiators work with a boiler and piping system to pump thermal energy throughout the home. Hot water radiators use a boiler to heat the water before circulating it to the radiator, while steam heating radiator systems convert the heated water to steam before circulating it out. When the water or steam cools, it travels back to the boiler to be heated again.

Most propane boilers last 15 to 20 years with regular maintenance and proper care. The lifespan depends on the quality of the unit, proper installation, and the level of maintenance. Investing in annual service can maximize longevity and efficiency. Routine inspections and timely repairs prevent early breakdown, ensuring your boiler heats your home for years to come.

The best time of year to purchase or replace an HVAC system, including components like an air conditioner or furnace, is during the off-season—spring and fall. During these periods, HVAC professionals are less busy than in summer and winter, when extreme temperatures create urgent demand. Shopping during the off-season can lead to savings of 10% to 15% on an AC unit and allows you more time to find the best deal and other cost-saving incentives. Typically, air conditioning units go on sale in the fall after demand drops, while furnace prices tend to decrease in the spring.

Oil boilers provide reliable heating, efficiency, and long-term cost savings compared to electric options.

The cost-efficiency of baseboard heaters depends on the type and how you use them. Generally, standard electric baseboard heaters can be expensive to run because they use electric resistance heating, which is less energy-efficient than systems like forced-air or heat pumps. However, hydronic and gas versions are typically much cheaper to operate. Hydronic models are more energy-efficient because they heat a liquid that retains warmth longer, preventing the thermostat from turning on and off as often. The overall running cost is also influenced by local electricity rates, your home's insulation, and your usage habits. To increase efficiency, you can use baseboard heaters for zoning, meaning you only heat the specific rooms you are using.
