We are a family owned and operated business. We specialize in all residential, commercial, and automotive lock jobs. We are open 24/7 for emergency services as well. If your looking for a locksmith in the greater Concord, NH area call us today!

"We bought an old house and needed all of the locks changed on about 3 or 4 doors. When they arrived, they realized the locks were so old they couldn't even rekey them so had to install entirely new locksets. Ended up being more expensive than we'd expected but the project was finished quickly after they had to go out and actually get the new locksets, and even rekeyed a coded lock for us to install on a door we'd have installed in the future."

Locksmiths questions, answered by experts

Over time, latch components may wear out or get grimy, leading to this problem. First, check for dirt, dust, or debris in the latch mechanism to ensure smooth operation. Use an aerosol duster and lubricant to clean and loosen. You may also need to tighten the screws in the component, adjust the strike plate, or replace the lock. If none of these steps resolve the problem, consult a professional locksmith.

Various types of deadbolts are available, from the classic single-cylinder lock to a double-cylinder, rim deadbolt, smart deadbolt, and electronic deadbolt lock. Most homes in the U.S. use a single-cylinder deadbolt lock, which requires a key on the exterior and only a thumb turn on the interior to open or close the lock.

There is a reason many commercial garages and storage facilities have roller garage doors. They stand out as one of the most secure options due to their unique design. The compact installation and absence of visible leverage points on the sturdy aluminum curtain make them a formidable obstacle for potential intruders.

Standard residential deadbolt locks come with a steel bolt that locks your door into place using a key (or keypad) on one side and a thumb turn on the other. When you lock it, the bolt slides into a strike plate on your door jamb to secure your door shut.

If your door handle turns without opening, the most likely culprit is a loose or stripped spindle. This part connects the handles to the latch mechanism, and when it’s not properly engaged, turning the handle does nothing. Other issues might include a broken latch, loose screws, or even something small blocking an inner mechanism. In any case, it’s usually a matter of tightening, adjusting, or replacing a worn-out part inside the handle assembly—or calling in a professional to do it for you.
