Excellent job completing some outside stairs. Completed the job in 2 1/2 days.

They extended our outside stairs and repaired part of the old stairs. Job done in 2 1/2 days. Excellent work and very friendly.

Doug and Tony were fantastic. They were going to install a window and found some rotted and ant infested sheathing under the siding. Called me back right away,came out very next morning gave me a quote,I accepted,delivered a couple hours later..done deal...great company to deal with.

Doug came out to look at replacing my sliding door. He said I could save money by replacing just one glass panel through a glass company. Later, I needed to replace a window. He gave me an estimate, ordered, and came right out and replaced it. Cleaned up after himself. Everything was great!

Doug came over and looked at the job. Gave an estimate and set up a date. Removed old kitchen countertops. We are having upgraded countertops so he called the person installing the new ones to make sure that the work would be prepped structurally sound. Cleaned up and disposed of old counters. Very professional and local, which we like to use for projects.

BEWARE OF BLUEBIRD! Doug and his assistant, Rob, swapped out two 7ft 2x6s and one 8ft 1x12 fascia boards due to water damage/ rot on trim of my father's house. The entire labor on the job took three and a half hours (not including lunch & a trip to the lumber yard). On his estimate, Doug said that this was a full 2-day job (maybe more), and his figures included $600/day labor, plus $250 for materials. He charged my father, and received payment of $1450 for what resulted in changing out 3 pieces of wood in just over three hours. That means he charged my father over $400/ hour for the work. My father wasn't present for the job, so when he found out later what had happened, he was furious. I had to call Doug on two separate days, and only after threatening him with a formal complaint through this site did he finally followed through to refund a fraction ($400) of what he had unscrupulously billed my father. Bottom line: if Doug is willing to rip off an 84-yr-old Vietnam Vet who lives on a fixed income, imagine how few qualms he would have about cheating anybody else.

Doug did a fine job replacing my bulkhead to my basement. The quality of work was very good. I would certainly hire him for other projects that might come up. The only thing I didn't know about until he had begun the work was that I would have to dispose of the old bulkhead (metal doors & frame, etc.). It was not a big deal as the next day was my dump day and I didn't have to pay for the disposal, however, it would have been nice to know that I would be responsible for that. Otherwise, everything else fine and I'm very satisfied with my new doors and the quality of the installation.

Doug was responsive and easy to work with, despite coming outside of his normal range to do our storm door installation. Great quality of work, great communication and great results, including a follow up call to ensure that we are happy with the work. I highly recommend Doug / Bluebird builders.
