They were very interested in doing the work, and it showed. He called numerous times, and even apologized for being too forward--saying he'd leave one last message. I appreciated that. Unfortunately, insurance did not cover the cost of the roof, so he adjusted his estimate *way* down. Insurance will pay a lot more to replace a roof than it costs, so roofers like to do roofs that are covered by insurance. It pays more. If insurance is covering it, you don't need to tell them unless the insurance pays the company directly. Keep the difference yourself, after all, you're the one that's been paying for insurance. They clearly can do the same work for a lot less (as was evidenced by the revised estimate, no change in materials/labor, just cost). This is the same with car repair companies, as I learned this past year. The cost of repairs will magically match the amount offered to you by your insurance. But Apple impressed me more than the rest of the roofers, some of whom didn't even bother with follow up phone calls (or even provide a bid), so I signed the contract in July and I wrote a check for 1/2 the cost of the roof. For two months we waited (they said they'd be about 3-4 weeks or so out), but with all the storm damage this summer all over the area, I wasn't surprised that it took longer. In late August, I got tired of waiting and not having an update. I contacted the company and asked when they would be doing my roof and within a day I had a return phone call. They said it would be a little while yet, but that they also worked on Saturdays. On a Friday, I got a call saying they were on their way. It was frustrating because I asked for a day's notice so I could bring my dog to work (so she wouldn't freak out). They apologized. My husband came home and got her, but it ended up raining all day--so they couldn't do the work. He suggested Saturday and I agreed. We were out of town, but when we came home, we had a nice new roof. To their credit, they did not cash the check until they ordered supplies for our job. They did not crush any bushes, plants, and even the grass had very little signs of trampling. I found one nail on the porch after our recent rain and a few very small pieces of debris, but Kipp had come back for a final inspection and did final cleanup within a week of the roof being put on. While here, I told him that we still had leaking around our chimney flashing and that the roofers put the satellite dish back on! He caulked around the chimney (it still leaks a bit) but still hasn't taken off the satellite dish. It has only been a couple weeks. They have not sent me a final bill, and I assume they will not until the satellite dish is off. Kipp promised to come back until the leak stopped--although he did admit (and it is true) that sometimes leaks can be pesky things. It leaked before they re-roofed it, and it still leaks. I should say it drips down between the wall and chimney and leaves about a 4-6and quot; water mark after a hard rain (like we had recently). Kipp is very friendly, professional, answers questions, but he is not the scheduler and not responsible for when the roof work will be scheduled (like most contractors). He was great with follow-up, so far. As soon as that satellite dish is gone, I will be happy. :-) "},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ne/lincoln/apple-roofing-reviews-6478785.htm"},"position":8},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Urban Trail Gardens","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"NE","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"G F."},"reviewBody":"Ron (owner) is very knowledgeable and passionate about the plants. the quality of his plants is very high. Over the past appointments, they have tended to all of the usual expectations; but in addition, they have taken care of those unexpected situations that can occur; such as, changing batteries in smoke alarms that ended up tweeting right after I left on vacation, taking care of a big tree that blew over in the front yard onto the driveway during a storm, and fixing a door that had a major lock-out malfunction. They have kept me informed through texts during these situations, but made it possible for me to continue my work (or vacation) away from home without worry. Every daily visit is documented with a brief note, describing what the pets are doing, and what the sitter has done during that visit. I look forward to 'the read' when I get home. You can tell the sitters love animals -- even the psycho cat that hides under the chair, primarily for sneak attacks. Over the four years of multiple trips, I believe I've had three different sitters (and that includes Jennifer, the owner), which means they are familiar with the routines, hiding places, and idiosyncrasies of each pet. Plus, its obvious, Jennifer has found people who are trustworthy and dependable. Plants during the summer can require more maintenance than the pets, but they've given the plants as much care as the pets. Whether it's summer, winter, middle of the week, weekend, or a holiday, the creatures and home that I love have been treated with wonderful care by the people at A Pause for Paws. They have allowed me to surround myself with the living things that I love, yet travel as my work demands and vacation as I get an opportunity. What a blessing. I'd recommend A Pause for Paws without hesitation.

Their in Fairmont, Nebraska. All of their workers that they have come out work their rear ends off in very hot weather to get things done. The owner of the company was not responsive to my repeated request for an actual drawing plan, he never provided me with a scale drawing, he didn't...

Blue Ox provided great customer service! I emailed for a consultation on a Thursday afternoon and had a visit and an estimate Friday morning. A very reasonable price and was able to come back that same day to do the work. I had 1 stump and 6 large root clusters ground down within 45 minutes....

FAQs for plant watering projects in Lincoln, NE
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Lawn irrigation is the process of getting water to your lawn, grass and all, for it to grow. There are five main types of lawn irrigation methods:
Manual irrigation puts you in charge of the flow of water. Using a sprinkler head on your hose is best to evenly distribute the water across your entire lawn. This doesn’t take much time but requires you to be physically outside holding the hose.
Above-ground sprinklers attach to your hose and rotate or oscillate around your lawn. Since these are above-ground, they’ll need to be moved when it’s time to mow, and depending on the size of your property, you might need to move it around your yard for full coverage.
In-ground sprinklers are flush with the ground when not in use but pop up above the ground level when it's time to water the lawn. Piping for these sprinklers is all found underground, and there are different types of sprinkler heads for different uses and lawn sizes.
Drip irrigation involves drip lines that are more efficient than sprinklers for more extensive lawns. This involves a lot of digging since they are installed underground, but it makes it easy for you to mow.
Rainwater collection and irrigation uses nature’s precipitation to water your lawn. This option might not be available in every area since semi-reliable rainfall is needed, though the barrels for this system can range from 15 gallons to 10,000 gallons or more.
The cost of a lawn sprinkler system is $2,550 for the average homeowner. However, this price can range from $350 to $5,000 or more, depending on the type of sprinkler system you install, the size of your yard, and the type of sprinkler heads you choose. For example, rotating or oscillating sprinkler heads are more expensive than stationary ones, making the cost for one sprinkler head $2.50 to $30 each. Likewise, a yard that is 1/4 of an acre in size averages a total average price of $2,460; however, a one-acre yard averages a cost of $9,840.
Landscaping costs around $3,500 but varies widely from $200 to $14,000. Factors that play a part in your final landscaping price tag include:
Location
Yard size
Project size
Materials
Land preparation
Type of landscaping
Considering so many factors, it’s not surprising that the overall costs can differ. A typical landscaping project is flower bed installation, which averages between $800 and $3,000. However, landscape lighting installation is a higher-end project, with a price tag of $2,000 to $6,000.
