Grasshopper Lawn Care & K-9 Waste Removal

This is a follow up to a recent review I submitted. Nate Carey at Grasshopper did respond to me regarding two lawn fertilizations that had been billed to me yet had not been done. He verified that they definitely had not been done and he credited me for both. We did stop service with Grasshopper, as stated in my previous review, as the lawn edging we requested twice was never done, and we felt the mowing and trimming were too sloppy and done too quickly.

I have used this provider for at least two years. I have to follow up with them regularly to get any work done. (It is worse than nagging my teenager to do something.) In the past two years, I have been served notice by the city weed control twice because my yard looked so bad. Several times this provider has billed me, told me they showed up, but I know they didn't because I was home all day. I would never recommend them to anyone. Now with that said, I have tried many of Lincoln's lawn services. Most don't show up at all. This one will show up at least some of the time.

The first service we called didn't get back to us for two days and when we called again, the said they do not even mow. They only landscape. The next one we called had an answering machine but the mailbox was full. We called Grasshopper and he answered right away but  he was driving. So he pulled over and called us right back. This is their busy time but he was very nice and listened to our situation. He had many new clients but would work us in. He would have put us on the next week Tuesday group. But we told him it had not been mowed yet this season. So he said he would come by himself the next day and work us in. He did come the next day and mowed our lawn himself. He did a great job. You can depend on them.

They come during the day and apply the fertilizer, then leave us a note about watering. It's all good.

Grasshopper is very reliable and eager to please the customer. The service has been made as automatic and worry free as possible. I often must leave on business trips and the maintenance continues without a hitch. Even more convenient, is that the service can schedule automatic payments. This makes the entire operation transparent and leaves one free to focus on other matters without concern for quality of the service or worry about monitoring performance. Highly recommended especially when one considers the reasonable pricing.

Nate is very responsive and Grasshopper does a good job - one less thing for me to worry about. I appreciate their service.

I use them a lot. They are very reasonable. The K-9 is very well priced, I think they're probably the most reasonable one that I know of in the city. The lawn service, they charge me $40.00 for the yard. That seems comparable. For cleaning up the hedges and stuff like that, it was also very reasonable, I think $40.00 or something like that. Also the fertilizing is $40.00 for each treatment and they provide the fertilizer for that.

I like to use them for all these things because they make my life easier. I liked them because they were a one stop shop for all lawn care maintenance needs. They were exceptionally timely. They gave me a range of time they would come. They usually came on Fridays. They drop in throughout the entire year winter, spring, summer and fall, which was really nice. Obviously if there were weather issue they would not come but they come as soon as they can near the expected times. They were prompt. They were very professional. This morning they were out here and couple of my dogs was out. They treat them very well and told me that the dogs were no bother. My dogs would bark at him and he was fine with it and also was playful with it. They were very friendly people. The price was great.
