"Chris met up with us to discuss putting a new deck on the full length on the back of our home, he was so professional telling us exactly what we needed to know. He and his crew came in did the job, kept us informed on everything they were doing. CVH Construction informed us they were done with job, picked up any trash, tool’s etc informed us how to take care of our new monster deck. My dad was also happy with the job on our house that he has hired them to put a new deck and new siding on his place. "The provider requested OK from Choice Warranty and he was denied. It rained last night and rain came into my home. It could have been avoided if Choice had just approved what I requested. Now, the damage will be greater than necessary. I blame Choice home warranty for my home damage. Now it will cost mote than a simple tarp could have prevented until I could get money to repair roof. The provider was great and tried his best to get something done to my roof but Choice Warranty was horrible and no help. They get a "zero" from me"

While you could get away with installing a new roof over asphalt or steel, wooden roofs should be removed, new underlayment installed, and the new roof installed over that. Also, the extra weight would add strain to your roof structure.

In most cases, installing solar panels will not void your roof warranty. To keep roof warranties intact, check your written warranty or call the manufacturer to ask about clauses regarding roof penetrations. You can also protect yourself by getting written approval or a modified warranty that specifically allows the solar installation type you’re planning. Then, hire a professional solar installer that follows roofing manufacturer instructions and protects the roof during installation.
