Once we decided what we wanted, Alan and Liz were very good about keeping the lines of communication open. We decided on a two tier hardscape with a circular stone front stoop. They incorporated the hardscape with the retaining wall along the driveway. I realize I am probably not using the correct vocabulary, the pictures are probably more helpful.
