Yes. While cellar spiders can seem creepy or scary, they’re essential to the ecosystem. They feed on smaller insects in your home or elsewhere, keeping those populations in check. They’re also food for birds and small animals, so if you let a cellar spider live and simply transport it outside your house, you’re letting the natural cycle continue undisturbed. 

There are quite a few opinions regarding using coffee grinds to keep deer out of your garden, with many people convinced of this method. It makes sense that it could work considering deer have a strong sense of smell and likely do not like the smell of coffee grounds. However, there’s no hard evidence supporting the notion that coffee grounds keep deer away, but it may be worth trying.

Carpet beetles don’t seek shelter in mattresses like bed bugs do, but there still may be sources of food, like the fabric of your sheets and blankets, that attract carpet beetles. Because these pests munch on plant-based materials, you could still find one in your bed as it’s searching for food.

Drain flies aren’t likely to make you sick and typically aren’t harmful to humans. They don’t bite or sting; however, they can cause allergies. In some individuals, they can also trigger asthma. The main issue with these little bugs is that they’re annoying, unsightly, and unsanitary. Like all flies, they can spread bacteria from garbage or your sewer system.
