"I searched around for a company who could wash my vinyl siding. I also needed someone who could wash windows. I saw good reviews for FM Power Wash and reached out for a quote. Literally within an hour or so I heard back from Gavin with a quote. He can do siding AND windows! I thought the price was a great deal for the whole package and working with Gavin was like working with a friend or neighbor. He’s a great guy with a passion for doing great work. He showed up on the day of the cleaning and was a joy to talk to. In 1.5 hours, he had cleaned the siding and windows and let me tell you: They look fantastic! Like new! I absolutely recommend Gavin and FM Power Wash to anyone and everyone needing a good vinyl siding and window cleaning. I know he does decks too! I may get that next time. My hope is to continue to work with Gavin and FM Power Wash regularly moving forward! It was fantastic service and a great price."

Pressure Washing questions, answered by experts

While you can use a pressure washer to clean an outdoor rug, it is not necessary as a garden hose can easily do the job. If you do opt to use a pressure washer to clean an outdoor rug, keep it on the lowest pressure setting and adhere to all safety precautions. If you set the pressure washer on too high of a setting, you could run the risk of damaging the fibers and decreasing the longevity of an outdoor rug.

While some pressure washers, when used at lower settings, are ok to use on tires, we suggest proceeding with caution. While the high pressure alone won’t cause damage to your tires, pressure washers emit high-frequency pulsations that can damage the tires’ sidewall cords. Using a medium-bristle brush and soapy water is a better bet if you want to keep your tires in tip-top shape.

Yes, you can pressure wash epoxy floors, but you must take precautions to avoid damaging the surface. While most epoxy floors can be cleaned with a mop, you might choose to pressure wash if the floor is stained, has ground-in dirt, or is covered with mold or mildew. To do so safely, first soak any stains or dirty areas with a gentle cleanser. Use a lower pressure setting with a gentle nozzle, such as a green, white, or black tip, or a 45-degree angled tip. Keep the spray nozzle at least 18 inches away from the floor to protect the surface. Using a surface cleaner attachment or a rotary scrubber can also help prevent overspray. Be cautious if using a power washer that heats the water, as the combination of heat and pressure may be too powerful and could damage the epoxy coating.

Pressure washers are better for residential use. Power washers are best suited for cleaning very hard surfaces (like concrete and cement) and removing tough stains or tacked-on grime. Meanwhile, pressure washers have more uses. For example, you can use one to deep clean a wooden fence, spray down your vinyl siding, or clear out your gutters.

Sodium bicarbonate does not need to be cleaned up as thoroughly as many of its aggregate counterparts because it is not considered dangerous to the environment, nor to pets or people. While you will likely want to clean up the dust with a shop-vac and some water for aesthetic and comfort reasons, soda blasting cleanup is much simpler than for most sandblasting.
