The first visit the guy tightened a few things charged me for an hour and called it good. Needless to say I called again the next morning. Visit two required replacing parts and again charged the hourly rate. Regrettably this did not fix the problem. Visit three they were late and I needed to call and remind them of our appointment. I was not charged for this visit. Visit four was a fluke accident and visit five finally resolved the issue. The only reason this company did not get Fs across the board was due to a professional employee who was apologetic and somewhat understanding.

We had a general contractor and we paid him so he took care of paying the plumbers. They were on time. They did a good job. They did exactly what we were hoping to get done.

We got two estimates- one from Jeff's and one from another company. Jeff's estimate was about half and required less demolition. Both companies had to brainstorm how to solve a complicated problem. Jeff's guy had a simpler solution so we went with them and the results were excellent. It took them about 2 hours. Our only complaint was they didn't ask if we wanted to recycle our own copper pipes. My husband asked them to bring the pipes back which they promptly did. We used them a year later when we had a problem with the washing machine drain, again with good results.

They did a great job and it cost a lot less than we thought it would.  We`ve had them do jobs for us twice now and they are the ones that I`ll be calling from now on!

He was pretty low and he was working with another company at same time and he was like we could get both of them so that the work will be done really fast, he just came out and did the estimate and said he would be here tomorrow morning and he did not turn up , he just sent two of the guys one was working with another company came out and worked and i had told Jeff that i do not want the ceiling of the bathroom torched and i was down stares so he came downstairs and he said they need to go in to the ceiling upstairs and we did not want it torn out, he ended up putting the pipes under the insulation  and it was very ugly and the master plumber was not there to do the work it was the apprentice and the master plumber was in and out so he did not do much so it was really bad.

Wish I could comment on the quality of work, but I can't since they never returned any of my phone calls.  The only thing I can attest to is their customer service and professionalism and not calling back says it all.

They were readily available but did not show up on Saturday nor did they notify me; I had to call them.  Then they came on Sunday.  I had asked initially how much they charge and Jeff said $75/hr.  I also asked if I assisted if it would save money.  He said it would.  So I helped and dug out gravel and clay and cement from the hole and helped fill it in and cleaned up everything for them.  The guy that actually did the job had not been working for them very long and said he did not get educated to do this except "on the job".  I'm not sure if he was actually even licensed.  He did an OK job with the drain and set it level according to what my tile guy asked for.  He soldered the pipes for the faucet pressure valve right next to the old solder sites previously done.  He says he tested the valve to make sure it worked and hope it does since I'm tiling my shower.  He said though that because I provided the shower valve that they would not guarantee the work; only if I bought it from him.  He then used what appeared to be a used valve which he charged me $45 for and took parts from another one that was faulty to make it work!  He did not put any spacer between the new faucet and the house and the holes did not match up and just screwed it in pushing in the siding.  He worked a total of 2.5 hours with my assistance and proceeded to charge me for 4 HOURS saying that he charged for getting supplies prior to coming to my house.  I believe all he picked up was the jackhammer maybe as he had to use 2 different faucets to make 1, so obviously he didn't go get a new one.  The faucet works fine, but there is a hole in the siding next to it that is not filled or caulked.  He also charged inflated prices for the little bit of copper tubing and PVC pipe that he used of which I provided some of the PVC pipe.  All in all, I would never have them come again unless it is to fix something in the next year which is all they guarantee their work for!

We'd heard good things about Jeff's Plumbing from neighbors and other contractors.  This was our first experience.  They originally promised to arrive between 2-4.  At 3:45 they called to say they were running late.  Stuff happens when you're in the plumbing business and it can't always be predicted.  The difference with Jeff's is they were heads up enough and care about their customers to call and say they would be late. When Jim from Jeff's Plumbing arrived around 4:30, he was professional, courteous.  He cleared our drain in short order and did an excellent job of cleaning up.  If you need a plumber in Fargo - call Jeff's.

I received an estimate from Jeff on about Jan 20th, 2011 for the work to be prefromed. He said the work could be done soon. The job required relining my sewer  to the city street sewer line. He mentioned calling a landscraper to get a price for  needed repairs. I received no contract for the work and assumed the yard would be restored to original state.
I got a verbal quote for the work and Jeff did the work the next week as he stated. The invoice came in early February and was for the whole amount..I figured since the yard remained excavated and would not be repaired until spring I would hold back 10% to insure the lawn would get restored. The excavator came in early June and leveled the dirt but only clay remains with no top soil and no grass seed was planted. I waited a month and called Jeff's Plumbing. I was told the job was complete and it is my responsiblity to reseed the lawn. I would not recommend Jeff's Plumbing because they provided no contract  or description of work to be done. Also, they sent invoice for total amount of the work before it was totally done.
Consumer beware;get contract with detailed items of service to be preformed.
He never came back and filled in the dirt, and he never replaced the grass. He is very unprofessional.
Response from Jeff's Plumbing & Drain Cleaning Inc

"This customer was a former friend of my wife, they were having sewer problems. We came over and gave them a bid, NOT an estimate. This bid was extremely lower than the average bid for this type of work. This job was performed in mid January, because of this the ground was frozen so i told the member the ground would NOT be smoothed over until spring. They not pay us on time they waited a few months to make a partial payment, and the invoice said payable upon receipt. The excavator that preformed this work is a subcontractor for Jeff's plumbing not an employee. I told the member we would smooth the dirt out in the spring when it dries up to get ready for seed for him. At no time did i tell him I would get a landscaper for him. Due to flooding and rain conditions in the spring it took longer to get the dirt smoothed over. We did exactly what we promised we would perform."
