"My neighbors house started on fire and melted the vinyl on my garage. Insurance companies would cover it, but I didn't want to make a claim. Amber and Earl came out for an estimate and they were very professional and thorough. They helped me understand what is needed to fix my siding and did not pressure me when it came to numbers. They offered a solid and durable product. I would recommend their services to anyone as they were very nice to talk to."

"We have a Vintage Art Deco home and Dave was the right person to give our home the care it needed. He is honest and kind keeping you updated on the progress of the project. The exterior of our home and block fence was in need of some assistance prior to being painted. We have an open styled block fence that required repair with tuck work and an area that was open needed to be enclosed with blocks. New blocks were found and placed into the existing fence. The stucco on our home needed repair. His skills are never-ending! The portion of Stucco required replacing looks original to the home after repair. He also repaired the exterior of all of our windows. When all was completed with repairs and our painter was not going to make it before the weather change Dave stepped yp and did a wonderful job!"

Stucco questions, answered by experts

Cracks, discoloration, and moisture intrusion often indicate necessary repairs.

The decision to repair or replace stucco depends on the extent of the damage. For minor issues like small cracks, holes, dirt, stains, or discoloration, a repair is typically sufficient and more cost-effective. These issues can often be resolved with a simple repair, a deep clean, and possibly a new coat of paint. However, for more significant problems such as large cracks, peeling, mold, algae, or structural water damage, a replacement might be necessary. In these cases, it is best to call a professional stucco contractor for an inspection. An expert can assess the severity of the damage, determine if there are deeper issues, and advise whether a repair is adequate or if replacing a section or an entire wall is the more cost-effective, long-term solution.

The best exterior paint finish for stucco is a flat or low-gloss finish. A high-gloss finish will show imperfections in the stucco and give it a candy-coated look that many homeowners don’t like. The best types of exterior paint to use on stucco are acrylic, masonry, and elastomeric. However, acrylic is recommended because it is both durable and breathable.

Stucco will dry in two to three days, but you should wait one to two months to allow it to cure fully before you paint it. The curing process is slow, but leaving the material exposed to air and natural moisture will help it reach its maximum strength. If you live in a hot, arid climate, wait a month before painting. Wait two months before painting if you live in a more moderate or wet climate.

Yes, professionals can color-match new or repaired stucco to existing finishes to ensure a seamless and uniform appearance. While most providers offer this service, it is recommended to confirm with them beforehand.
