"Dylan called me to see what I needed done. He was very professional and very polite. We set a time for him to come look at the project and quote me a price. After coming over, he sent me the numbers and I was pleased. He came back few days later and pulled 5 stumps and 3 bushes. Very knowledgeable in his work and he was determined to pick out every little weed. I was very impressed with his work ethic and the final results. I recommend him for any landscaping projects."

Hauling questions, answered by experts

The cost to demolish a single-wide mobile home ranges from $3,000 to $5,000, including debris disposal. A double-wide mobile home will cost $4,000 to $7,000 to demolish and remove debris.

When deciding between renting a dumpster and hiring a junk removal service, the key factors are the type of project, the items you're discarding, and your timeline.

  • Rent a dumpster for longer projects like remodeling or construction. It offers flexibility, allowing you to dispose of debris like broken tile, drywall, fixtures, and yard waste over several days. You will be responsible for loading the dumpster yourself.

  • Hire a junk removal service for quick, hands-free disposal. This is ideal if you want to get rid of a pile of junk quickly, or if you have heavy or bulky items like furniture and boxes that you don't want to lift yourself. The professionals handle all the labor, often clearing everything out within a few hours.

Sewer line care is a great time to give a little TLC to the rest of your home's plumbing. A bit like a car, each part of your plumbing works in tandem: One weak pipe affects the whole system.

Consider either winterizing your pipes before the first frost or prepping your plumbing for summer. If you spot an issue, factor in the cost to replace your home's pipes at the same time. A clog in your main sewer line could be the answer, but contacting a plumber near you sooner rather than later can keep costs low.

Accepted materials include construction debris, office furniture, and general waste. Hazardous items may require special handling.

Disposing of old paint, bleach, oil, and fertilizer should be handled by a company that specializes in this kind of waste. Many private junk removal companies do not dispose of these items. Because these materials are hazardous to the environment and dangerous to handle or dispose of improperly, you should confirm with your local municipality about places to take hazardous materials for safe disposal.
