"I rented a dumpster from Coastal Logistics, a Lynstar Management company, during an emergency cleanout, and I couldn't have been happier with the experience. They were the only company that returned my call within an hour, and they had a dumpster delivered the very next day. From start to finish, their customer service was outstanding. They kept me informed throughout the process, followed up to make sure everything was going well, and the dumpster itself was clean and in great condition. Their pricing was also very fair. In my line of work, we need dumpsters on a regular basis. My usual company wasn't available this time, and I've worked with many dumpster companies over the years. Coastal Logistics is the first one that has impressed me enough to take the time to write a review. Great pricing, excellent service, and a company that truly delivers on what they promise. I'll definitely be using them again and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable dumpster rent"

"Miller and his colleagues were able to do a lot of things quickly. Along with everything else, they also grabbed some old furniture that I needed help moving to the curb. They took several cares to make sure nothing was damaged during the move, including wrapping the furniture, turning off all the lights, and packaging the picture frames."

Hauling questions, answered by experts

It’s not difficult to dispose of wood pellet ash, but you should always let it cool completely before disposal to avoid it sparking a fire. If you’ve got an energy-efficient pellet stove, there shouldn’t be much to empty from the ash box, anyway. However, once the ash has cooled, you might consider composting it or simply adding it to your garden or plant soil. The ash is full of minerals, not chemicals, so it’s a wonderful fertilizer for grass and plants.

How you dispose of excess concrete depends on the amount you have left over. Since concrete hardens quickly, it's wise to have a disposal plan before starting your project. For small amounts, you can divide the extra concrete into manageable chunks. Because concrete isn't considered hazardous waste, these smaller pieces can often be placed in a dumpster. For larger quantities, you can rent a dumpster from a company that specializes in concrete disposal or take the material to a landfill or transfer station. It is important to call your preferred location first to confirm they accept concrete. Additionally, check with your municipality to see if it offers recycling services for solid concrete.

The costs vary from $50 to $150 per item, depending on its size, location, and disposal requirements.

Yes, most furniture can be thrown in a dumpster. Wood items like tables, chairs, and bookshelves are generally acceptable. However, some areas have regulations prohibiting the disposal of mattresses and upholstered furniture in a dumpster. It's important to check with both the dumpster rental company for their guidelines and your local waste authority for any specific rules or potential extra fees.

Composting can be a great alternative if you’re looking for a way to dispose of food scraps without a garbage disposal. If you have the space in your yard, you can install a compost bin or compost pile and add food waste. After enough time and heat, the compost will break down and can be used to mulch your garden.

If you don’t have space for compost, consider city-run programs or local companies that will pick up your food waste.
