"Respess Brothers Tree Service were OUTSTANDING, PROFESSIONAL, CONCISE, and TIMELY!! They completed the service - removing two big trees (one very large pine tree in the backyard) and 5 large bushes in the front -- with their new machine so efficiently and safely! It’s possible to transplant trees as tall as 50 feet when an experienced tree planting service uses the right equipment. Usually, trees cannot grow back after their stump has been ground, but some very hearty types of trees can. For example, if you have a black locust or Redford pear, the grinding will need to go deep to prevent them from growing back. Ask your tree service or stump removal expert whether your tree can resprout after its stump is ground down.

Once you confirm a tree is dead, you should remove it. Dead trees eventually fall, and larger trees in particular can cause damage to rooftops, fencing, flowers, and other objects. As we mentioned, letting decayed wood stay in your yard also invites risks to the surrounding landscaping and vegetation.

You can find pruning paints and sealants for trees, but you shouldn’t use them on a topped tree. Coatings like these often inhibit the tree’s healing process.
