Customers say: Super punctual

"Hired them for a major yard transformation. They removed 3 major oak trees, several large cedars, and countless brush, bushes, & ivy. This crew works extremely hard, efficient, and very well skilled. The crane operator and bobcat drivers are very talented with their maneuvers and make quick work of seemingly dicey tasks. All of the crew very nice and left us a clean yard. Great value. Wouldn't go to anyone else for a similar job"

"I had such a great experience with the owners! They completed a project that I have been putting off for awhile and they came and executed it with no hesitation. They were very knowledgable and made very good recommendations. They even followed up days after completing the job! I will recommend them to anyone I know in search of a landscaping project. I will definitely be a repeat customer."

"L&L Tree Service did a fantastic job in taking down an old, huge pecan tree from my yard. They had the right equipment and staff to get the job done in record time and left the yard as neat as a pin!! Alex was great to work with and was a man of his word. "Respess Brothers Tree Service were OUTSTANDING, PROFESSIONAL, CONCISE, and TIMELY!! They completed the service - removing two big trees (one very large pine tree in the backyard) and 5 large bushes in the front -- with their new machine so efficiently and safely! We were so impressed with their expertise in figuring out how to remove our trees which would have taken much longer. We HIGHLY recommend their services and they get the job done!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

In Greenville, a thorough seasonal tree inspection routine helps maintain tree health and property safety. In spring, look for cracked limbs or fungal growth from winter storms. Summer is ideal for checking for drought stress, bagworms, and other local pests. Fall is best for pruning oaks and preparing for hurricane winds. Winter inspections should focus on ice damage and planning arborist consultations for spring care.

Helpful?

Professional tree care in Greenville can significantly boost your home’s value and marketability. Well-maintained southern pines and mature hardwoods are especially attractive to buyers in established neighborhoods. Healthy trees signal diligent upkeep and reduce perceived risks. Strategic pruning, disease management, and planting shade trees not only enhance curb appeal but also appeal to buyers seeking energy efficiency and a welcoming outdoor environment.

Helpful?

Coordinating tree care with other home projects in Greenville can be efficient and practical. For example, schedule tree removal before installing new landscaping or plan pruning before roof or gutter repairs. Combining these services, especially during the winter when arborists and contractors are less busy, can streamline scheduling and minimize yard disruption, while ensuring your property’s overall health and curb appeal are enhanced together.

Helpful?

In Greenville, frequent mistakes include pruning live oaks or maples at the wrong time, over-trimming native species, and neglecting proper mulching during summer heat. Attempting DIY removals near power lines or hiring unlicensed help increases safety risks. Ignoring the area’s clay soil drainage or failing to prepare for hurricane season can lead to root issues and storm damage, making professional arborist guidance essential.

Helpful?

In Greenville, indicators that past tree service may need redone include uneven canopies, excessive water sprouts, or visible decay at pruning sites. Persistent root suckers or stumps with new shoots mean removals weren’t complete. If you notice recurring pest infestations or mushrooms at the base, disease treatment may have been insufficient. After storms, temporary bracing or jagged cuts suggest follow-up by a certified arborist is needed.
