"We hired Todd Galloway Construction to build an addition on to our existing home. It included a living room, kitchenette, full bathroom and bedroom with a walk in closet. They made everything as easy as can be. The process was professional and well planned. Throughout the duration of the project Todd was always accessible for questions or concerns. The crew was courteous and kept the work area clean and safe. Our addition turned out fantastic- better than we hoped. We will be doing a primary bathroom remodel in the future and will absolutely be using Todd again!"

"Recently I had Tyt and Joel T at my home to do a bath remodel. I seldom give reviews but these two guys were outstanding. Both Tyt and Joel were polite and good with my pets. They were fast and efficient and caused almost no disruption. I am very happy with the walk-in shower, and the performance of Tyt and Joel."

"First and foremost, it was important that the project was to be finished by a certain date; The builder met the deadline.
He and his crew were respectful, professional and detail oriented. the project required specified architectural details not often seen in new housing. One challenge was the matching of the exterior with the original structure, a challenge they met superbly. The builder also found solutions for unusual structural challenges such as a hidden steel support beam and an unusual roof structure."

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel questions, answered by experts

A bathroom renovation will not be tax deductible in most cases. However, if you are renovating the bathroom to meet the medical needs of someone who lives in your home, you may be able to take a deduction. If the bathroom renovation is occurring in a rental property, it could also qualify for a tax write-off.

A frameless shower door installation can increase your home’s resale value because of its modern aesthetics and luxurious look. Not only do frameless shower doors provide more space in the bathroom and enhanced utility and functionality, but this upgrade can promote a luxurious user experience. If you’re looking to sell your home in the near future, this could be a good upgrade for the bathroom.

Yes, most bathrooms can be converted into a wet room, but the process often involves extensive renovations. Key requirements include having proper plumbing and the ability to slope the floor slightly for drainage. The conversion process typically requires removing the existing floors to install drainage, replacing drywall with waterproofed cement backer board, waterproofing the walls, and installing new fixtures to create an open, curbless shower space. A skilled home renovation professional can evaluate your bathroom to determine if it's a suitable candidate. It's also worth considering resale value; if you only have one bathroom, converting it to a wet room might not be ideal as many homebuyers prefer to have at least one bathtub.

Shower niches can be placed anywhere they will be most accessible for those in the shower. A shower niche should be close enough to the showerhead that it’s convenient to grab products, but not so close that it’s in the direct path of the water. You can also consider the overall shower design and favor symmetry, integrate the niche with the tile design, or hire a bathroom remodeling contractor to help you decide.

Labor is the most expensive part of a bathroom remodel. If you’re doing a major remodel, structural changes (such as moving walls) and plumbing reconfiguration can be costly. For a standard remodel, the big-ticket items include tiles and new tub or shower fixtures.
