"I cannot say enough about the professionalism and expertise of Tim! He came out at night to demo the lights (a lot of landscapers would not demo), kept the lines of communication open and guided me step by step through the process! We are grateful for his hard work and will definitely recommend him to all of our family and friends!!!!"

"They did a great job removing a medium sized gum tree from my yard. They quoted a good price, gave me a date when the job would be performed, showed up on the promised date and cut down, removed the tree. Cleaned up the area before completing the job. Would definitely recommend them for your tree removal needs. Very professional and high quality work."

Customers say: Quality work

"Steve & his team did an excellent job updating the front beds with new shrubs & bushes, installing new beds in the backyard with trees & shrubs, and installing patio stone. The quality of the work and materials used was outstanding. Once they started the job, they stayed until everything was completed. Many neighbors stopped by complimenting the work and wanting to know who did it. I definitely recommend A & A Landesigns for any landscaping needs."

Landscaping questions, answered by experts

Plant a peach tree right at the end of your local dormancy period, likely at the very end of winter after the last frost when you can dig into the soft soil. Plan your backyard gardening season, including when planting peach trees, based on the frost schedule predicted in your local hardiness zone.

You should plant trees at least 15 to 20 feet away from your house, and more if the tree will grow large and spread its limbs. Trees pose several dangers to houses when planted too close. They can litter the roof with leaves and branches, create fire hazards, make a ladder for larger pests, and even damage the foundation as their roots grow.

Finding a reputable greenhouse or nursery should start online, where you can read through customer reviews to gauge the quality of the plants sold and the customer experience. Look out for customers complaining about plants dying shortly after purchase, and try to choose a greenhouse known for hiring employees who are able to explain how to care for the plants you purchase. It’s also a good idea to head to a few greenhouses to see the selection they offer and make sure they carry the plants or trees you’re looking for.

Yes, you can absolutely transplant bushes instead of removing them completely. The success depends on the size of the bushes, their age, and the transplanting season. Ideally, transplant during the dormant season (late fall or winter). Dig out the entire root system in one piece, fill the new hole with fresh soil and mulch, and water thoroughly after planting.

Plant privet hedges at least 1 foot apart in a trench about 2 feet wide and 2 feet deep. It’s important to space privet hedges relatively far apart due to how quickly they grow to significant sizes and heights. You don’t want to crowd privet plants, or they could overcrowd each other, causing unwanted damage.
