Customers say: Quick response

"Ron Abraham and assistant were professional, hard working, and pleasant. The gutters are now clean, after he removed the gutter guards and flushed out all debris into the down spout!. Then pressure cleaned the outside of the gutter and the 8" of aluminum between the the gutters and the house. With great patience they were the most thorough and best ever on this house! Thank you, Ron!!"

"These guys are great! I highly recommend them for any type of yard work you need. Last week I contacted them about leaf removal, routine lawn maintenance, mulching and a few other things. Norberto replied within a couple hours and had a quote to me by the end of the day. Today they were here and man it looks amazing! We are setting up a few more jobs along with the routine maintenance and I couldn't be happier! Nava Brothers is the way to go for anything lawn related, thank you guys! PS: I know one of the biggest factors in any home maintenance is cost, and it was not mentioned in any of the reviews I read for Nava Brothers, so I can honestly tell you their prices are fantastic! Norberto is upfront with the cost and details, but truly surprised me with how fair their prices are!"

"Gregory was willing to mow my yard at a very reasonable cost when my regular yard person was off for surgery. He did not elevate the cost when I let him know it would not be a full season of mowing. His crew arrived on time and did a very good job. It was the first mowing of the year, so lots of grass, which he planned to mower mulch into the yard during a subsequent mowing. His crew followed our instructions precisely. I will defintely call his company again,if needed."

Small jobs welcome

"Our front yard and flower beds were a complete disaster. Jason and his crew helped clean everything out rebuild the flower beds using the existing rocks and also removed four very large shrubs by hand getting all the root systems out as well. They also spread dirt and organized my planting pots that I plan on keeping"

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Lead toxicity comes from inhaling lead or consuming it. Before the 1980s, when the government banned lead from consumer use, it could be found in paint, plumbing, pipes, ceramics, and even gasoline. Lead paint is toxic for the same reason lead itself is toxic, which is why lead poisoning from paint presents the same as lead poisoning from water or food sources, with a slight increase in respiratory symptoms vs. digestive symptoms. Lead paint is most dangerous when it’s old and peeling, cracking, or otherwise disturbed. This increases the concentration in the air and, therefore, in breathable air.

You should ask a few questions to ensure that your potential lead removal professional is experienced and qualified to handle lead-paint abatement safely, legally, and properly.

  • What are your qualifications and experience removing lead-based paint?

  • Are you licensed and certified to remove lead-based paint?

  • How do you test for lead paint?

  • What methods do you use for lead-based paint abatement?

  • What do you plan to do with the hazardous material when you remove it from the home?

  • Do you do replacement and painting work or removal only?

While not all homes built before 1978 contain lead paint, enough do, so you’ll still want to test to be on the safe side. The federal government banned lead-based paint for homes in 1978, but your state may have banned lead before that time. Around 24% of homes built between 1960 and 1977 contained lead-based paint, while 87% of homes built before 1940 contained lead-based paint.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), hazardous waste is generally classified into four main categories:

1. Characteristic Wastes: These exhibit at least one of four hazardous traits: ignitability (flammable, like gasoline), corrosivity (can rust or decompose materials, like car batteries), reactivity (unstable and can explode, like aerosol cans), or toxicity (harmful when ingested, like lead-based paint).

2. Listed Wastes: These are specific wastes from manufacturing and industrial processes that the EPA has officially designated as hazardous. They include byproducts from processes that use solvents, pesticides, and other chemicals.

3. Universal Wastes: These are commonly generated hazardous items that are subject to streamlined regulations. Examples include batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing equipment (e.g., bulbs), and some lamps.

4. Mixed Wastes: This category includes waste that contains both hazardous and radioactive components, making it subject to regulation by both the EPA and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

The best disposal method for hazardous waste is to take it to a professional dumping facility that specializes in and accepts hazardous materials. These facilities will dispose of the materials in a way that is safe for both humans and the environment. If you don’t have access to a nearby facility, the best way to get rid of hazardous waste is to call a professional garbage removal company who handles disposing of hazardous materials .
