"I built an outdoor kitchen and the original contractor was not very good with tile installation. I contacted International Flooring and Samuel came to my home to see what he could do to fix the incorrect installation and complete the remainder of the project. He was very helpful in laying out the options to fix the issue and finalize the project. We had many delays caused by original contractor delays for granite delivery and other items but Samuel's team did an amazing job fixing the incorrect installation and finalizing the project while working around the contractor delays. They went well above and beyond my requirements and expectations. My project turned out better than I could have asked for and the International Flooring team were always professional, courteous, and provided outstanding results. Thanks to Samuel, Ron, and Michael we are enjoying cooking out/entertaining over these recent summer Holidays. We are planning to remodel our kitchen in the near future and there is no question who our tile, flooring and granite team will be on that project."

"I can’t say enough good things about Yaritza and Johnny! This was my third project with them, but by far the biggest, a complete kitchen renovation, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park. They didn’t just do the granite. Yaritza helped me with the cabinet selection and the overall design, and her advice made such a difference. I honestly don’t know how she manages so many projects because she always makes you feel like you’re her only client. She’s so responsive, patient, and on top of everything. Johnny is always smiling and such a pleasure to work with. They both made the whole process easy and even accommodated a few last minute changes without missing a beat. After three projects with them, I can honestly say I wouldn’t go anywhere else. It’s clear they take pride in their work and genuinely care about their customers. If you’re looking for beautiful work, great service, and a team you can trust, I highly recommend them!"

Small jobs welcome

"Cory and his crew did an excellent job at my home. They installed additional insulation in my attic, cleaned out my dryer vent, cleaned out my gutters and unclogged 13 years' worth of soil and tree debris from my downspout. They did all of this in about 2 hours for a reasonable price and were friendly and professional. I would hire them again and I highly recommend them!ð"

Marble and Granite questions, answered by experts

Unsealed granite is more susceptible to staining and other damage. Regularly sealing your granite countertops decreases the chances you’ll need to repair damaged countertops in the future. It also keeps it looking shiny rather than becoming dull over time. You can check whether your granite needs resealing by putting a few drops of water on the counter and waiting 15 minutes to see whether the water permeates the surface.

Yes, Corian® and other solid surface materials can be cut with standard woodworking tools, such as a circular saw or a jigsaw. However, it is crucial to use the correct type of blade to avoid damaging the material.

For a circular saw, a tungsten carbide-tipped blade is required; a triple chip grind blade is highly recommended. For a jigsaw, you should use a fine-tooth down-cutting blade. Do not use blades designed for cutting wood, as they can cause microfractures that weaken the edges of the countertop. A diamond blade is also unnecessary, as those are designed for harder materials like natural stone, which Corian is not.

After cutting, the edge will be rough. It is essential to sand and smooth the cut edge to prevent microfractures, which can eventually compromise the integrity of the countertop.

Onyx countertops have pros and cons. If you seal it properly and take care not to damage it, it can make a good countertop surface. However, it's more often used in bathrooms, where it’s less likely to sustain damage. Having an onyx kitchen countertop is possible, but you’ll need to take extra care not to burn, stain, or otherwise damage the material.

Standing water can lead to surface discoloration if your granite countertops are improperly sealed. However, it’s possible to remove hard water stains with a baking soda paste. Take more care with acidic liquids, such as fruit juice or red wine, which can leave more permanent stains. That’s why it’s so important to reseal these surfaces regularly.

Marble countertops don’t necessarily crack easily. However, they are more susceptible to damage than some other types of countertops. For example, they can develop etching from acidic liquids, such as lemon or tomato juice. Marble can also chip at the edges if you drop a heavy pan. A faux marble countertop isn’t as delicate as the real deal (depending on the material you’re painting over), but it can still get scratched if you’re not careful. Use hot pads and cutting boards to protect the countertop.
