"If I could give Pinnacle Construction & Bobby Hounsell more than 5 STARS I would. We interviewed and received estimates from 6 local companies to do a complete kitchen remodel from top to bottom. Bobby was professional, knowledgeable, attentive, and upfront and honest. After seeing some of Bobby's work, the excellent quality of craftsmanship that goes into his projects, his very reasonable quote and the fact that he showed up when he said he would we decided to sign with Pinnacle Construction to do our kitchen remodel. Bobby laid out a detailed timeline with the start date and approximate finishing date. Bobby was so easy to work with. They started on the date he laid out in the time line and finished within the approximate date. I mean this company has their act together. I was looking for a very specific type of finish on our island in the kitchen. Bobby went the extra mile and met with me at several locations to see if we could find it. After not liking what I was seeing Bobby had Jason ( excellent worker for Pinnacle Construction) make me a custom Island which came out absolutely beautiful! I just love it! We always knew exactly what was being done in our home and when it was happening. Bobby was always stopping by and looking in on the project and checking the quality of work. All of the outside contractors that came in to do plumbing, electrical, etc were all professional and top notch. One more important note* - Bobby was the only contractor to look at our kitchen design of our remodel and make some suggestions. I am so glad he did as we changed a few things which made total sense , as he wanted us to be happy with our kitchen and love it. A bathroom remodel is in the future and you can bet I will be having Bobby Hounsell and Pinnacle Construction doing the work."

"Our development in Murrells Inlet was hard hit last Spring with a hail storm. Every neighbor within 1/4 mile has had to replace their roof. I found Allrestore on Angie's list and gave them a call. Jim Hotch called back the same day. The house is our vacation home so everything had to communicated and set up by email and phone calls. Jim visited the house the next day and sent me the estimate. He pointed out several things that were damaged that I didn't even notice. Jim explained the entire procedure to me as it pertained to contacting my Homeowners Insurance Company and he advised me to give the insurance adjuster his cell number so that he could meet with him/her when they were going to inspect the roof. Jim coordinated a day and time for the inspection a few days later. It took awhile to get my first check from the insurance company but Jim was patient and checked with me several times to offer assistance if needed. The roof was installed a few days after hurricane Florence and I couldn't be happier. My neighbor was home during the installation and called me to let me know how hard the guys were working and what a good job they were doing. I arrived a few days after they finished and you would never know they were there except for the new shingles. The property was clean and the roof looked great. The price was fair and I can't say enough good things about Jim Hotch. I will recommend Allrestore Contracting to anyone looking for a roof in the Murrels Inlet area."

"Scheduling was a little complicated as we were in the midst of tropical storms passing through. But the day of installation was awesome. Everything finished, from demo to install in a matter of hours. They arrived in the morning and were done by mid-afternoon."

"Ronnie was very prompt coming to my home to access the problem. He discovered a coil leak and discussed with me my options: to have the coil replaced or have the whole inside unit replaced.   Ronnie discussed with me my options on a new unit and explained the advantages/disadvantages of each.   After I decided to have a new unit installed, Ronnie was here the very next day to install the unit.  He took the time to explain exactly how the unit operates.  Ronnie and his team were very professional, courteous and prompt. I will definitely use this company for all my AC/Heating needs."

"It did take a little time to connect up with Jeff - partly due to his being swamped after the storm and my work schedule. He got here by the time promised and due to some rain the evening before, had to come back out a little later in the day when things had dried out. He explained what he was going to be checking for up on the roof and what actions he would take should he find any problems. Once up on the roof he checked everything out as promised, fastened down the flanges where they had been lifted by the storm and reported that there were no other issues with my roof. (Relief!) Jeff was pleasant to work with and very professional and I would definitely recommend his services to others."

"Russ showed up early and determined to get the job done ! I had an entry door replaced with a storm door installed on top of the new entry , nothing but hard work and very good attention to detail was shown to me , I would recommend again and will be letting friends and family know about his up and coming endeavors. No complaints at all I can tell he likes to do what he does."

Storm Shelters FAQs, answered by experts

To qualify as a guest house, a structure needs to meet your local building code requirements. In some locations, a guest house must be a separate residence from the primary home. In other locations, you may be able to connect the two buildings and still call the second building a guest house. However, a structure doesn’t often need a minimum size to qualify as a guest house.

Any type of construction that damages a tree’s roots via soil compaction can be dangerous, and is one of the primary causes of mature tree death in residential areas. Simply putting lots of weight on the ground around the tree, like construction supplies, trailers, and equipment, can kill roots near the surface. Of course, installing new foundations, patios, or utility lines can cut through nearby tree roots. Accidentally striking a tree with equipment or supplies is rarely a problem, but can cause damage of its own, too.

Your chicken coop needs to be off the ground to protect your chickens and avoid problems brought on by flooding, mud, and moisture. If you can't locate a high area to build the coop, you should build an elevated coop to ensure it stays dry.

While a romantic getaway in a vacation treehouse may sound appealing, building one to live in year-round comes with more challenges. However, a growing number of people are adopting this small-scale living approach to appreciate an off-the-grid, private lifestyle. It allows you to feel closer to nature in a sustainable, customizable, minimalist, and eco-friendly way.

Pole barns and carports are similar in that they rely on posts for support and are often not connected to a primary structure. The main difference between the two is that pole barns usually include walls that surround the entire perimeter of the structure, while carports generally remain open on three or four sides. It’s possible to insulate garage doors and even exterior walls on pole barns to create a comfortable workspace, and it’s a bit more secure for storage purposes. However, carports are more affordable.
