"Joe Everette is the absolute best in the business. He is a master at keeping on time and on budget, while providing top quality work and materials. He does not cut corners, he is particular with every detail. We honestly have no complaints at all. We are so happy with our new home which is in the last week or so of construction. We give him 100% + grade AA for an awesome job. No matter how many times we bug him he never acts irritated or like he does not have time for us. If you want top quality, he's your guy!"

"We added a new bathroom and they did a great job. They were open to our evolving ideas and didn't hesitate even if there was re-work involved. We are very statisfied with their excellent craftsmanship and our new addition looks fabulous. Although the project took longer than the time estimate given, the final product is top notch and made up for the delays."

"They were quick to respond and prompt to schedule the job and show up to perform it. They did a terrific job painting a bathroom after cleaning the mildew we struggled to get rid of, so we then hired them again to paint a bedroom. Their cost was reasonable after some negotiating. We were very pleased Overall."

Basement Remodel questions, answered by experts

To determine if your basement walls are suitable for finishing, assess their structural integrity and moisture conditions. Look for any signs of damage, such as cracks, bowing, or excessive moisture. Ensure proper drainage and address any underlying issues before proceeding.

Consult with a professional if you're uncertain about the structural stability or potential risks associated with finishing your basement walls.

Professional remodelers streamline the process, manage permits, and handle renovations efficiently—significantly mitigating risk while maintaining standards.

Whether it’s more affordable to gut a house than build a new one depends on the markets where you'd be buying and selling. However, it’s usually less expensive to renovate a home than to build new construction.

Most homeowners pay between $100,000 and $200,000 for demolition and remodeling costs, whereas the average cost to build a new home is between $139,000 and $531,300.

You technically can paint wires in a basement ceiling, but there are several important safety and code considerations. It's safe to paint non-metallic sheathed cable as long as the labeling remains visible. You can also paint low-voltage wires and conduit and junction boxes to help them blend into your basement.

However, you should not paint damaged or deteriorated wiring is a fire hazard because it poses a fire hazard. The same goes for painting over high-heat wires that connect to heat-generating appliances or systems. Be sure to avoid painting multiple coats onto any wires, as that traps heat and poses fire risks.

Yes, it is possible to turn a regular basement into a walkout basement. Doing so involves excavating the land around at least one side of your basement foundation, installing retaining walls to create a permanent below-grade area outside your home, and then cutting into the foundation to install an exterior door that leads out to the new space. This is an expensive and time-consuming project, but it can add a lot of value and utility to your home.
