  TruGuard are true professionals, truly nice and truly amazing. Angie's List really helped us this time. We purchased a house and during the inspection period realized we had some rot issues with the siding, needed gutters changed out the front door configuration to one with side lights, and wanted to change the front porch from side entry to a front entry and change the awning over the back porch to something that was simple yet more effective. TruGuard helped with all of these projects and more. From my first contact they were responsive. Tyler met us at the house and we walked around and discussed the issues. For the quote, they presented us with a full project presentation with our Hardie Plank siding choices shown on a color rendering of what the house would look like after the upgrades. All details were considered and while the price was a bit more than we initially figured, we realized they would be the project managers and handle all the details and we would not have to worry about how and when the project would be complete or if it would be completed. One part of their process that I really like is they sent us a daily update with pictures of work done and when they ran into the spots of rot, we could see what was behind the siding and what needed to be fixed. We could also approve those fixes on this app, so we did not have to be there in person and we knew exactly what the extra cost would be. While it was never fun getting a notification about new spots of damage, it was helpful to know it was being addressed and how much it would cost. We had one spot that was difficult to get to so they could only estimate time and materials, but they were very efficient and the cost was not out of line. Our project was pretty extensive and the house is on a corner and it so happens that a lot of school buses stops are on this corner. The upside of that is all our new neighbors, most we met when we finally were able to move in, not only enjoyed following the process, but they also continually complimented the workers, the project, the professionalism of the workers and made us feel even better about TruGuard. This review is going to be long because they did a wonderful job and if you are doing a small or an extensive project like we did, you should know about the company you hire. Other reasons we hired TruGuard. One crew works on your house (for siding) and they stay on the same project till it is done. They don't sub out this work and they have a project manager and a crew manager and the crew manager is onsite with the guys all the time. Their trucks are clean and while we had a couple in front of the house during the project, they take care where they are parked so they don't block other neighbors. They also use a newer porta potty and waste bin combination that is a newer concept in Charlotte, but combines both things that need to sit in your driveway and often cause a lot of issues with homeowners. I will pause her and say we did not move in this house until the majority of the work was completed. We needed to get the house painted on the inside too, so had a lot of changes happening at one time, so delayed moving in. Also, once they removed and replaced the front door, we also had to wait for the front steps to be changed, which meant the masonry work had to be done towards the end of the project. The subcontractors for masonry and gutters did a fantastic job too and I can see why TruGuard uses them for projects. The crew. They were professional, helpful and it was great to get to know them a little. Darryl and Eddie knew what to do, how to do it and how to get it done in a timely manner. They both took care of big and little details and any issues that arose during the project. If we saw something and had questions, they had a ready, logical answer. If they did not know, they found out quickly what could work in the situation. They are a preferred Hardie Board provider and they stand behind their work. At the end of the project, since we picked the pre-painted boards, they do come back after washing the house and touch up any places that might have any issues. We are very happy with the Hardie product and know we will have many years of comfort and stress free living. They fixed the issues with the outside of the house and since the house is 32 years old, we knew that once fixed, we would add value, safety and comfort to the house. It was a very large project, but one we won't have to do again and TruGuard will stand behind their worshow more

  I can't recommend Hyatt highly enough. From our initial consultation with Cecil to when the crew cleaned up, everything was handled with clarity and professionalism. Our project included planting a variety of new trees and shrubs, incorporating some hardscaping, installing uplighting, and more. The owner himself was on-site throughout, which really meant a lot to us—and obviously made a difference in the quality of work. All of our neighbors were stunned at how clean they left our work site (they cleaned the street and curbs before they left!). At the start of the project they gave us a window for completion due to holidays and weather, but they were always communicative, keeping us abreast of when elements of the project would be completed. If you're looking for a landscaping company, save yourself any more time and research and hire Hyatt. Whenever we have landscaping needs again, we will definitely call themshow more

  As soon as I closed on the house, I had to be out of town for 2 weeks. Shane Halpin of Eager Beaver brought in his crew and plowed through the extensive list of changes (and I kept adding tasks as well). Imagine not being present for such extensive work - upon my return, what a wonderful work product awaited me!! They continued for a few more weeks and I continue to use their services regularly - whenever I contact them, they are responsive, professional and meet every challenge I have thrown their way!!
