"Two of my neighbors recommended Andy to me. I am a new home owner and I wanted my crawl space checked for mold and to check my vapor barrier and insulation. Andy promptly returned my call and scheduled a home inspection. I was expecting that he would recommend lots of improvements. To my amazement he said it looked good but the builders didn't complete the insulation under the floor boards. Instead of the $2000 I was expecting he gave me an estimate for only $375! He arrived promptly on the scheduled time and proceeded to complete the necessary work. A few minutes after he arrived he located me and asked if I was running any water. Yes, my wash machine. He said there was a crack in the PVC and there was a small puddle. He checked my machine's location and said it was the cold water hose. Now that is southern service! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to my family and friends."

"Roberto was the technician and he was very professional, polite, and personable. He inspected the rest of our system and told us things that needed to be changed or repaired. He showed me pictures of everything. Everything he told me about was accurate. He quoted me a price for R38 insulation , Some of our ducts were plastic and he recommended them to be changed. I agreed completely and didn't know they were plastic. I would have had them done the work but I had no price comparisons to make and besides I didn't have the money right then. So he just finished the vent cleaning and left his card. He did a great job on the vent cleaning and was happy with the work."

"Wanted to increase attic insulation to R49 & have ceiling can lights covered so they would not touch insulation. (Home Inspector told us can light covers were needed.) Logan assessed existing insulation and said we needed to add only R13 to get to R49. (A competitor wanted to add R19.) Logan also suggested that the can lights were rated such that they did not need can light covers. My electrician checked the can lights and confirmed that Logan was correct. I very much appreciate getting an accurate assessment from Logan. The Mullins crew arrived on time and blew pink fiberglass insulation into my attic, increasing the depth and evening out the coverage. The attic now looks very snug, as though it is covered in pink snow. The job cost about $600 to improve attic insulation for a 2500 sq. ft. house."

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

Drywall can get wet and dry out without sustaining permanent damage, but only if the water damage is minor. If you have a small leak and are quick to correct the issue and set up blower fans and dehumidifiers, your drywall should dry out. If the leak is persistent, the drywall becomes totally waterlogged, or mold begins forming on the drywall, you should remove and replace it.

If your home’s foundation shifts slightly over time, any seams in the drywall represent the weakest point in the wall, leading to cracks. If your home has significant changes in temperature and humidity, this can cause the drywall to swell and contract slightly, causing a crack at the weak point of the seam. If your drywall installer did a poor job securing the panels to the wall studs, this could cause a weak layout and cracks in the seams.

Professionals mount TVs using specialized tools and knowledge of different wall materials, ensuring safe support.

While fumigation chemicals cannot pass through solid objects, they will seep into any openings in walls, doors, or other closed spaces. This allows them to get into tight places where pests may be hiding and causing damage, like termites ruining the foundation of your home. It also means that your home needs to ventilate for 48 hours before returning to ensure that no harmful chemicals remain in your space.

There are several things you should not do when installing drywall. Common mistakes include: adding too many screws, over-sanding, not adding backing support, and installing drywall unevenly. You also should avoid screwing into the same place twice, installing Sheetrock with tapered edges on the outside, and making too many joints.
