"Diego and his crew did an amazing job. They were finished in 2 days painting the interior of our home. It is beautiful. We couldn’t be happier. We have shared his contact with our entire neighborhood where the new homes were all done with cheap, flat, unwashable paint. Very pleased."

"I was referred to Longs Services by a friend. I hired Tim to complete move out repairs in the apartment that I had resided in for more than six years. He was able to patch and blend the knockdown texture on numerous drywall holes that ranged from small to large. My dog had scratched and tore up the front door casing and created a large hole in the wall next to it and Tim was able to repair that entire area without replacing the entire door casing. There were multiple other repairs completed and a complete cleaning was done as well. Thanks to their hard work instead of owing upon my move out I received my entire deposit back. My landlord told me how much getting this done saved me and Iâ m very thankful."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

You should not leave drywall outside, especially overnight or in a wet, humid climate. Exposure to rain and humidity can damage the drywall, weakening its structural integrity and making it susceptible to mold growth. If you must leave drywall outside during a project, be sure to cover it with a tarp or keep it inside a storage shed to protect it. Even drywall intended for exterior projects requires a protective moisture barrier. For best results, store any extra drywall in a dry area away from the elements.

Drywall can get wet and dry out without sustaining permanent damage, but only if the water damage is minor. If you have a small leak and are quick to correct the issue and set up blower fans and dehumidifiers, your drywall should dry out. If the leak is persistent, the drywall becomes totally waterlogged, or mold begins forming on the drywall, you should remove and replace it.

Yes, as drywall mud is going to have some uneven spots and bumps after application. Such imperfections are going to be visible after everything dries and even after you paint the wall, so you want to remove them. Learning how to sand drywall, taking your time, and following drywall sanding tips can help you have the best results.

There shouldn’t be any gaps between your walls and ceiling. These can be fixed with joint compound but that is only a fix, and it’s much better if your drywall fits correctly in the first place. Sometimes gaps can appear if your foundation shifts significantly but if this is the case, you have a much bigger problem than patching drywall.

To maintain plaster walls, inspect them regularly for cracks and seal them early. Clean the walls by dusting regularly or using a gentle, damp cloth. It's also important to avoid moisture exposure. Repainting as needed will help maintain the wall's appearance and longevity.
