"Jim is local.  It went great. Jim Ferrell is a professional of the highest caliber. Responded quickly, took care of my problems, and advised me as to better means of protection than I had. He came back a second time to uninstall software that I purchased that did not provide adequate protections and installed free software that would do the job.  He did the work through remote connection, but is available on site if necessary.
For those people needing help on getting red of malware, viruses , etc. on your computer,  Jim is local, better than all thse remote out of state location providers, is a mature, highly trained professional in this area.
If you go to local computer stores you get very young people that can do a basic job, but are no where near the professional level of Jim.
I highly recommend Jim to anyone that needs these type services.

"First, let me say that Eric's team not only did a great job, they probably saved me several thousand dollars. We just bought a house as rental property, and knew we'd need several major jobs done.  Eric gave us a better deal by doing them all at once.
The old deck was falling apart and not to code, since it was just screwed to the house and not secured to the house framing.  Eric used new technology that meets code and allows the deck to be installed without tearing out the ceiling inside the house.  The new deck is strong enough to have gorillas jump on it and still be safe.  We went with composite boards to make the deck last longer and reduce maintenance. Now we don't lose rent on the lower unit while the deck is installed, and the upstairs tenants are safe on the deck.
Water was draining down a hill right up to the house walls, so Handyman Xpress dug the trench, put in the French drain both above and to the side of the house to prevent water damage to the foundation, and replaced an old leaky downspout with a new one.  This area was not accessible by vehicle, so it had to be dug by hand in the cold, hard ground in January.
There had been a leak behind the shower in the lower bathroom.  The entire wall, surrounding tile, and cast iron tub had to be removed down to the studs, as well as 2 sinks. Then  sheet rock, a new tub, new surround, new wall with water resistant drywall, replacement tiles for wall beside the tub, and paint were used to fix the tub/shower.  The previous owner(s) had used galvanized pipes and jerry-rigged techniques that resulted in leaks and probable future problems. Eric's crew arranged to have the plumbing issues resolved preemptively.  All the fixtures were updated and the bathroom was painted.
Additionally, there were several things we needed done that had not originally been on the list for Eric. We needed a broken window in the garage door replaced, and had them use plexiglass instead of ordinary glass. Looks great and is sturdier as well.
There were 2 broken cabinets in the kitchen and a broken medicine cabinet in another bathroom that was replaced. The dropped ceiling over the upstairs shower was falling, and they repaired that as well. The crew also added a couple of bars, hooks, and towel racks in the bathroom.  The team was very willing to do these as well.
Overall, everyone with Handyman Xpress was polite, friendly, courteous, patient, and professional. (Sounds like a Boy Scout troop, but it's true).

"After giving us an estimate in Dec 2014 and constantly following up with us they earned our business. They installed 8 piers and 3 beams under our home and what a difference! Just walking across the floors feels so sturdy. Now that this has been completed we can begin working on our kitchen remodel. Thanks Again!

"

I was extremely pleased with All Dry.  They gave me many options to fix my flooding basement problem without any high pressure sales techniques.  The crew did an awesome job and were very courteous.  I made a few changes as the install progressed and they handled everything with a smile.

There are a few companies that do the same type work and I have used 2 of them.  I would not hesitate to recommend All Dry.

"I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. They were nice people, but I saw after they did the job that there was a tear in my dryer vent. As far as I can recall they were prompt."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

An expansion tank must always be installed on the supply side, which is the side where the boiler sends water out to heat the systems. That placement allows the water to push against the air and condense properly as it is heated, then circulated through the system. Professional installers can recommend the best place on the supply side for an expansion tank.

The most important sign of a boiler problem is something happening unexpectedly, which is why regular boiler maintenance is important. Unexpected problems can include strange smells, new leaks, and unexpected noises that your boiler wasn’t making before. Additionally, if a boiler keeps shutting off or can’t maintain a specific temperature range, it’s time to call in an expert.

Unless they are connected to the same system, boilers and water heaters will both need their own expansion tanks. The only case they wouldn’t have separate expansion tanks is if the boiler is pulling double duty and managing a heating system while also supplying hot water for a home. In which case, you may not need a hot water heater.

Hydronic and standard electric baseboard heaters differ in how they operate, their cost, and their performance. Standard convection heaters use electric coils to heat the air directly, while hydronic heaters warm a contained liquid like water or oil, which then radiates heat into the room.

In terms of cost and efficiency, hydronic heaters usually have a higher upfront price but are more energy-efficient and cheaper to run over time. This is because the heated liquid retains warmth, allowing the heater to continue providing heat for a while after the thermostat turns it off. In contrast, electric heaters provide heat more quickly but are less efficient.

Ultimately, the better choice depends on your priorities. If you need a room to heat up fast and have a lower initial budget, an electric heater might be suitable. If long-term energy savings are more important and you don't mind a slower heat-up time, a hydronic heater is likely the better option.

A furnace takes in cool air, heats it through the burner and heat exchanger, and sends the air on its way to warm your home. A boiler is a pressurized vessel that produces hot water or steam to heat the home and provide hot water. A boiler may or may not work together with a furnace.
