"Utilizing All Service Moving for the move was a very positive experience. They had good communication, answering several questions prior to the move and did a final confirmation just prior to the move date. As for the physical move itself, Jose, Abraham, and Alberto were polite, diligent, and careful moving the many items, and managed to complete the move more quickly than anticipated."

"No Sweat Services was extremely helpful, professional, and efficient. They got me moved in quickly with no issues. I was extremely satisfied and have recommended them to any of my friends who have moved since, both in state and out of state. Many of my coworkers have also hired them and they all have said nothing but great things. I 100% recommend No Sweat Services. While I hope I won't need to move again anytime soon, the next time I do move, I will for sure be using No Sweat Services."

"This move went very smoothly. From booking thru the move itself. The team on the move was led by Nyshon Little. I feel that he kept the team on task and they handled at a good pace. I would use this group again."

Moving questions, answered by experts

When planning an out-of-state move, you should aim to save enough money to cover at least two to three months of living expenses, including rent, food, utilities, and transportation. Ideally, saving for six months or more is best, especially if you don't have a job lined up. You also need to budget for the transition costs, such as a moving vehicle rental, hiring movers, and packing materials. Cross-country moves typically cost between $2,400 and $6,860. You can calculate your estimated moving costs in advance based on factors like distance, weight, and the number of bedrooms.

Moving insurance helps protect your belongings from damage or loss during the moving process. This policy can help reimburse you either part of or the total amount of your belongings that become damaged during the moving process. Moving insurance has three main options: full value protection, released value protection, and third-party or separate liability coverage. Speak with your moving company to determine what is covered under each policy and their cost to determine the best fit for your needs.

Moving a washer and dryer may require a permit as it involves changing the plumbing in a home. Plumbing related permits cost between $50 to $500, but a pro can typically handle this process end to end. Always check with your plumber beforehand if a permit is needed and how that may impact project timelines.

To make sure that your moving quote is fair, check current prices for hiring movers in your area. Your starting and final locations can affect the price. You should also make sure you include the cost of any specialty movers in your price estimate. Calculate your moving costs including the estimated expense of moving services and compare the figure to average costs in your area.

The cost of a long-distance move depends on several factors, including whether you hire movers, use a moving truck, and the size of your move. For a 1,000-mile move, you’ll need to hire interstate movers and ask them for an estimate based on the details of your move. Keep in mind that a 1,000-mile move will likely cost $10,000 or more.
