The guys were great. Quick and professional. They arrived on time and got to work immediately. Even after a snow storm they came ready to work. I moved from West Virginia to Maryland. Even with a few hiccups with the freight elevator and loading dock dustance, it was a team effort to get it done quickly. And the price was perfect! My only issue was we didn't have a plan to protect the floors. The floors were left muddy. I would recommend shoe covers or to lay down some form of protection over the floors during inclement weather. Outside of that, I would recommend them to anyone.

The only issue is the delivery date of my household goods. Assurances were made that it would be delivered on time and it ended up being two days late.

My experience with Nation Capital was one of my best experiences. This is my fourth move, and I was impressed with the companyâ s professionalism. From the quoting process when Peter came to my house to the final unloading of my furniture into a storage unit was stress-free. The packers were courteous and hardworking; I knew my possessions were in good hands. Even when I changed course on where to deliver, they were accommodating. I can't say enough good things about this team.

Probably FAKE reviews on here, Do not be fooled, read our experience and judge for yourself. In February 2022, my family hired Nation Capital Moving company to move their household goods and belonging from MD to CA. we paid the $4900 for the move. At the time, the business had good reviews on google and we felt comfortable going with them. This was probably the worse decision we could have made. After we received our shipment in CA, the designated destination, we noticed that we were missing up to 7 boxes. They were not there, no where to be found. We asked the driver and she had no idea. The boxes included thousands of dollars worth of designer bags and a very expensive keyboard (musical instrument) Couple of the boxes also included ALL our family pictures including my parents wedding photos, me and my siblings childhood photos which are irreplaceable. The missing photos make my 70 year old mother cry every day, She will never get those memories back. We contacted the contact person at the company, he never gives us a straight answer or a solution to resolve this issue. he only asks tell us what is missing and when we do there is never a follow up or a call back. we suggested that we can help them track the deliveries for that day when our delivery was made, and see if our boxes were mistakenly dropped off at the wrong house. He never helped us track or audit the deliveries on the day of the drop off. No solutions were provided by him. This is absolutely unprofessional. we get it, A box might have been dropped off at the wrong location, but 7 boxes is a lot, and not having anyone in the company willing to track them down, or provide any type of solution or attempt to investigate it is absolutely unacceptable. I would like the company to track all the deliverys on the day and week of our shipment, contact the households and try to track down our boxes. If they do not have the man power to do so, they need to provide us with the list so we can do the investigation.

Movers created damage on furniture and to both homes. They remedied some of the damage but it could have been avoided. They hired someone locally that was clumsy and clearly not trained on the basics of moving.

They sent too small of a truck, so I ended up having to leave behind and/or throw out many of my things. On top of that, they charged me more, since the items they could fit into the too-small-truck exceeded what they had allocated in their estimate. Some items were damaged during the move. They initally said they would replace or compensate me for those items, but then gave me the runaraound for 3 months before telling me I had to file a claim with an insurance company.

I did not like that they charged me more because my boxes went above a predawn line in the truck. The only reason they had to stack my boxes that high was because they had scheduled another customer move for the same truck for the same day. If I was the only customer using that truck, my boxes would not have had to be stacked that high. I felt the additional $1800 charge was not due to my boxes, - it was due to having to make room for another pick up.

They were late, but, made it right.

This was by far the best moving experience I have ever had from the first phone/email contact until the movers completed the job. The movers were the best!! Polite, professional and careful. Treated the furniture as it were precious cargo. I recommend them highly!
