"We read some very good reviews for Mike and decided to contact him for an estimate for a bathroom remodel job we are planning to do. Mike was very quick to respond to our our inquiry through Angie's list, within an hour or two at the most. It took a week or so to sort out the date him to come and look at the site and get the inforamtion and discuss what we wanted done. He was very professional and knowledgeable and very friendly as well. He should get back with us in the morning with the estimate and we are looking forward to see what it will be. Hope to have him do our work for us."

"The first job I hired Aaron for was a toilet repair and bathroom faucet replacement. His work was timely and met all of my expectations. Since then he has fixed a leaked under my bathroom sink, basically rebuilt my water heater , and painted my bathroom. Even if you’re not very handy, DIY toilet repair is something many people can handle. However, that doesn’t mean that every repair project is something to try to take on yourself. 

On paper, replacing a toilet flange is rather straightforward. However, it requires heavy lifting and critical thinking, especially if things don’t go according to plan.

Your toilet handle might not come back up if the nut is loose or the bolt threads are stripped. Try to tighten the mounting nut and wrap plumber’s tape around the handle bolt to fix stripped threads. It’s possible the handle was improperly installed. If that’s the case, you can use the instructions above to correct the handle’s position. 

If your toilet won’t stop running, you might have a bad fill valve. This may be the case if the valve has calcium or debris buildup, is cracked, or shows visible signs of wear and tear. A bad fill valve may also be the culprit if you’ve already checked the flapper and chain and adjusted the fill height to no avail.

When working on your bathroom floor tiling, you should always tile the floor first and then refit the toilet afterward. This has both practical and visual advantages—the tile will have a better seal, and the installation will look cleaner.

On the other hand, when you try to cut the tiles to fit around the toilet, you’re putting yourself at a disadvantage. It’s a lot more work, it’s hard to be precise, and mistakes or miscalculations can lead to future moisture damage to the tiling, grout, and subfloor.

Usually it’s fine to leave a toilet clogged overnight, as long as it’s not close to overflowing. In some cases, the extra time may give the clog time to work itself out. For example, if it’s caused by an excess of toilet paper, letting it sit could result in the clog dissolving and you may be able to simply flush it away by the time you wake up. 

Only let it sit though if you have more than one toilet in the home.
