"They did a good job on the painting but ran out of paint they provided for the baseboards. Now 2 weeks later I’ve been trying to contact Victor and he has not responded as to when he can complete the job. They painted the walls a blue color and a lot of the paint is on the baseboards which is understandable but really wish they’d come and finish what they started!!"

The short answer is yes, a sagging plaster ceiling is dangerous. Sagging plaster on a wall is something you should fix immediately, but it isn’t a major concern. If the same type of sagging occurs on a ceiling, however, you could be in danger of your ceiling falling in large chunks. When plaster sags, it loses its strength and ability to hold itself up. The bonds that hold it together are strong, though, so if a sagging area falls, it will take large pieces down with it.

Drywall can be better than plaster if you’re installing a new wall and want to keep costs low. It’s much cheaper than installing plaster and provides a smooth, uniform surface.
