"My basement has been flooding. They cut through the concrete laid a drain that emptied into a sump pump and covered it back up with concrete. They got it all done in less than a day. I was amazed."

"We have evaluated foundations prior to repair and specified how the repair should be completed. After repairs are completed, we are often required to go back and verify that they have been completed correctly. We are pleased to say that Foundation Doctor does excellent work and are wonderful to work with."

"I selected Cantey over Mount Valley, Ramjack and CNT. The reasons I selected them were: price, personnel, and they offered Poly Leveling for my garage floor. Mount Valley price matched and offered poly leveling, but, I was not impressed with their personnel. I believe Ramjacs Helical Pile is better than Canteys jacks, however they would not price match, and they did not offer poly leveling. Even with price matching the cost for this work is exorbitant."

"Josh is truly the best. I try to seek out the best for my area, and Josh with Saber concrete and foundations was the best. A portion of crack in garage floor had dropped as well as a couple sections of driveway with many cracks. Driveway and garage floor level and all cracks filled. Garage floor and driveway are both over 25 years old. The work he did will allow me to not worry about replacement for many years. He knows his business and provides exceltional work. Very responsive when needed. He's honest about the project and his crew are hard working. He cares about his customers. Good work is always my #1 concern and and was not disappointed. It was just an extra that he is also a very kind caring person. Good job Josh."

"Project went very well. I had a triple driveway and whenever it rained, there was always a puddle. Ricardo and his crew dug up the entire driveway the first day and also prepare it to pour the concrete the next day. The next day they poured the concrete and pitched it to make sure water would run off. They also did a great job stamping the concrete. It came out beautiful. My driveway is the talk of the neighborhood. I have the best looking driveway in the neighborhood."

"The crew that came to my home worked for three days in my crawl space repairing support beams and pouring new concrete piers. They worked efficiently, they were professional, and knowledgeable, and I really can not complain about anything. They also took before and after pictures of my crawl space."

"After the work, it is so much better as it has helped my heating and cooling bills. My wood had some moisture content left and they solved that problem because I had doubts about that problem when I had a little leak. I finish it up having it fixed. There were some molds under the house and when they were doing that they tested all over the house. They found out that I have a problem with the other side of the house and totally away from the leak, which was just due to the humidity. They did a great work and were very professional. I got some quotes from other contractors and they were by far the most professional and the most knowledgeable people. The guy I dealt with was very real sharp. I was impressed by him and by his knowledge and his expertise. His name was John Patrick."

Concrete Leveling questions, answered by experts

Mudjacking typically takes 24 to 72 hours (one to three days) to dry and cure completely before you can resume normal use. The total drying time can vary depending on the size of the project. Because the slurry mixture contains cement, it needs to harden fully to prevent the concrete slab from shifting under added weight. You should avoid walking on the concrete or placing heavy items like furniture or vehicles on the surface until it has fully set. Your concrete contractor can provide a precise timeline. As a point of comparison, if you opt for polyjacking, the polyurethane foam can dry in minutes, but it's recommended to wait about an hour before use.

Mudjacking typically takes 24 to 72 hours (one to three days) to dry and cure completely before you can resume normal use. The exact time can vary depending on the size of the project. Because the slurry mixture contains cement, it must fully harden to ensure that added weight from walking, furniture, or vehicles won't shift the concrete slab. A professional contractor can advise you on when the surface is safe to use. For comparison, if you use polyjacking instead, the polyurethane foam can dry in just a few minutes, but it's best to wait about an hour before use.

Yes, you can mudjack cracked concrete, but the cracks will need to be repaired once the concrete has been leveled. If the concrete is severely cracked in multiple places, replacement may be a better option, but for less severe cracking, mudjacking is a good solution as long as cracks are correctly caulked and sealed.

Concrete leveling is not typically covered by insurance. In some cases where the shifting concrete is caused by a natural disaster or storm, you may be able to file an insurance claim if your policy specifically covers those circumstances. In most cases, though, you’ll pay out-of-pocket for concrete leveling.

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.
