Travis Kiker, owner of Little Squirrels, has been in the tree business all his life. His father, David, was a Minister and worked as a logger on the side, giving Travis plenty of opportunities to handle a saw and learn the trade. Travis worked in tree surgery and landscape while attending NC State University. Little Squirrels was officially established in 1993. We take great pride in our experience, expertise, quality, and customer service that we provide to meet the consumer's needs. It is our mission to provide excellent workmanship and complete customer satisfaction from start to completion of a project. Our reputation is based on service, safety, and quality, regardless of how large or small the job.

Little Squirrels reworked my entire property. My property has a slope from back to front. They gave me a more functional middle space and gave the property an even slope for grass. Billing was transparent. Once they started the project, I felt as though we had their full attention. It was a big project and I will call them any issues in the future.

Tree Trimming
I hired Little Squirrel's to Trimmed some trees and remove some bushes. They were too come back the following winter and complete trimming three more trees. I could not get a hold of them to finish the job. They did not return my calls. I talked to one person who said he was no longer in business. I had to hire someone else to finish the job.

Hired them as they gave the best quote, seemed to know what they were doing by the way they talked and offered good suggestions but they did not show up after 4 weeks of waiting and calling.

I used Little Squirrels after the tornadoes that hit North Carolina in April 2011. They were very responsive and got the job done quickly. The price was very reasonalbe, especially given the emergency clean-up conditions we were facing. Would use them again.

This is a top notch arborist who is very well educated in his field. All the other pros told me that my large Leyland Cypresses would have to be cut then stump grinded, and a much greater expense. Jim knew the shallow root system and told me he could pull them right up. And that he did. Add to that his professionalism, willingness to educate the layman, his reasonable rates, and accessibility. It was a joy to do business with him. Highly recommend.

Little Squirrels Tree Service arrived on-time, were friendly and professional, finished the job in a few minutes at significantly less cost than competition. I had them cut down and cut-up a 75+' pine tree that was dying and within striking distance of my house. They performed the task with ease.

Great to work with. Quality work. Had three large sweet gum trees, eight over-grown hedge bushes and two medium sized trees removed. The only thing remaining is some bare ground and saw dust. They took it all out in one day and ground the stumps down the next day. Overall good experience.

Hi my name is PAUL from north raleigh I went on service magic 1-8-2011 on monday 1-10-2011 at 8:30am Jim from Little Squirrels Tree Service Inc called me he came out to my house that day gave me a price I could not refuse his crew came out 2 days later around 2 pm by 5 pm they had cut down 6 trees , had all limbs gone all the wood gone and the next day they came back to stump grind 5 of the stumps. I would recommed them to anyone , i have given them there name out to a few people the did a great job and were well worth what i paid , Out of all the price's i got, they were indeed the JEEPEST in the City of Raleigh.
