Customers say: Quality work

"They removed a massive pine tree for me. A rep from Angi's called to explain the site and mentioned they did tree service. She put in a request and within 15 mins Terrance called. He had someone out that day to look at the job and they provided a quote in about an hour. The guys that came out were super professional, very knowledgeable, and on time. They did exactly what they said they would do, removed all the debris, raked, and smoothed out all the ruts. I was extremely impressed with their service and work and at a great price. Definitely recommend. (I requested the stump be left high so I can use it as a fence post)"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Homeowners are usually not responsible for trees that fall on power lines. Power companies usually have utility easements around power lines, which give them the responsibility to maintain any trees within about 15 to 20 feet of the lines.

Only trim palm trees as needed, which is usually about once per year. However, don't stick to that schedule if the palm tree doesn't need it. Avoid trimming palm trees when possible. It’s best to trim palm trees only when you notice a buildup of dead fronds. That said, leave the brown fronds during the dormant season because this organic matter helps protect the tree from the cooler weather.

There are a few things you should look for in a stump removal company to make sure you’ll be satisfied with the results:

  • Proper business licensing and insurance

  • History of positive reviews

  • Good rating with the Better Business Bureau

We also recommend asking any company you’re considering the following questions to help find the best value:

  • Will you remove the roots as well as the stump?

  • Will you haul away wood chips or large portions of the stump?

  • What method will you use to remove the stump?

Most experts recommend removing a tree that has sustained more than 25% loss in the limbs, trunk, or circumference of the bark. Doing an initial trimming of damaged and dangling branches, but then waiting a few days of monitoring to decide how much more you might need to cut can help you better assess the total damage to the tree. However, consulting a tree maintenance pro to make this determination the best course of action before removing a tree.

The costs vary from $250 to $5,000 per tree, depending on the size, complexity of the trimming, and labor.
