"Very Well. Everyone at N C Counter Tops were very helpful and they took there time to explain to us what was going to be done. Jennifer who helped us start this process was Extremely helpful in helping us choose the right counter tops for our kitchen. I would highly recommend her and NC counterTops to everyone. "Miguel and the Prestige team did an awesome job installing new countertops in our kitchen renovation. It was a large job and our old cabinets and some house settling created unforeseen issues, but with Miguel’s experience in both fabricating and installation, he was able to deal with the problems, and the final result was perfect. Our location is very rural and was a long drive for him, but he made the trip twice and worked very hard to finish it in a reasonable time. Miguel brings great experience, know-how, work ethic and customer service to the job! We are planning another project and will definitely use him again! Five stars and highly recommend!"

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

Concrete countertops usually cost more than granite. The average overall cost to install concrete countertops is $50 to $150 per square foot. Granite countertop costs average between $40 and $50 per square foot. While concrete materials might be cheaper than slabs of granite, the labor costs are considerably higher as it takes more time, specialized equipment and skill to form customized concrete countertops.

Extensive chips and cracks may require a full replacement of the countertop. The cost to install a new countertop is around $3,100 on average. But, if the damaged area is relatively small, you may want to consider repairing it yourself or calling in a qualified professional. Depending on the material, some epoxy and sandpaper may do the trick. Or you can consider painting laminate countertops or refinishing butcher block countertops.

Granite countertops can last for 100 years or more with proper maintenance, even in high-traffic areas like kitchens and bathrooms. Granite can crack, stain, or fade over time, like any countertop material, but it’s a highly durable option that should offer a lifetime of use. Some ways to increase the longevity of granite countertops include regularly cleaning the surface, especially after spills, avoiding sharp objects directly on the countertop, and resealing the material every few years.

While Caesarstone countertops are heat-resistant, placing hot pots directly on them is not recommended. Extreme heat can cause thermal shock, potentially leading to cracks or discoloration. Always use trivets or heat pads to protect the surface and maintain its appearance and integrity. This precaution helps ensure the longevity of your Caesarstone countertop.

With proper maintenance, concrete countertops can last for decades, with a life expectancy of 50 years or more. At a minimum, they should last 20 years before major issues arise. Their longevity depends on the quality of materials, proper installation, and consistent care. Because concrete is porous, it is prone to cracking and staining. Regular maintenance, including resealing, waxing, and repairing any chips or cracks, is essential to preserve its lifespan.
