"ODell Enterprises did an excellent job! I had three large trees, some smaller trees, very overgrown bushes and some sad looking ones removed. They also ground all the stumps and cleaned everything up. Chris and his crew were very knowledgeable, polite and friendly. I will definitely hire them again!"
The stump is so big even my stihl 661 magnum looked small compared to it...But there's not a stump we can't grind...Big or small we grind em all!!!

"Jim of Exterior Solutions of Fayetteville NC did outstanding job replacing my roof. Everything he promised he delivered. His team took care of business. Jim thanks for the first class professional service. His work is his brand and marketing sells by its self marketing word of mouth. I support this veteran company and recommend him for outstanding customer service. I will use Jim for all future projects on my house. Man of his word and being old school very hard to find nowadays. From one veteran to another Jim thanks for answering the call of duty. Integrity and being honest is everything."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

The lifespan of a fence can range from 5 to 50 years, depending heavily on the material, local climate, and how well it is maintained. For example, a wooden fence might last 7 to 15 years, while a vinyl fence typically lasts 20 to 30 years. Metal, composite, and glass fences have some of the longest lifespans. Proper maintenance, such as regular cleaning, inspections, and staining or sealing for wood, is key to extending the life of any fence material. Vinyl and composite are durable options that don't require sealing.

When deciding between fence post foam and concrete, the best choice depends on your specific needs and priorities. Concrete is generally considered stronger and more durable, making it the preferred option for heavy, load-bearing posts. However, expanding foam offers several advantages, such as being more eco-friendly and curing much faster. For smaller fences or those made with lighter materials like vinyl or wire mesh, post foam is a good alternative. While concrete is more affordable, it is also harder to work with and has a longer curing time.

Galvanized metal, vinyl, and composite fences are known to be the longest-lasting options, often surviving for over 30 years with proper care. Metal fences, including galvanized chain link and aluminum, can look great for decades because the galvanization process adds a protective coating that resists weather and pests. Similarly, vinyl and composite materials are resistant to pests and can withstand harsh weather for many years. In comparison, a typical wood fence lasts about 15 years, and a standard vinyl fence has a lifespan of 20 to 30 years.

You have several options for anchoring a temporary fence to keep it from falling down. Sandbags can be used as a standard weight, but they may blow away or fail in strong winds and inclement weather. Spikes and bolts are a cost-effective and easy-to-install alternative, but drilling can be difficult if the ground is frozen, too soft, or too hard. Another option is wind braces, which should be bolted into the ground to withstand turbulent wind; however, like spikes, they can be challenging to install in very soft or hard ground.

The maximum recommended slope on which you can build a racked or stepped fence is 45 degrees. After that, construction becomes quite tricky and may require the use of retaining walls or terraces to make the fenced area flatter.
