"Last weekend had someone pry our side door open to our exterior garage and the ADT door sensor picked it up immediately. The alarm siren was loud and scared the person off. Someone from the response center called within 30 seconds. We’re fortunate that the security system did what it is supposed to. Feels like we made the right call going with an ADT security system."

"We had a good experience with Ken. He was very responsive from when I first called to even after the install. I would recommend First detect security. They have up to date and tech savvy options with alarm.com monitoring from web or phone app. They offered a better deal (with more included options) than ADT which is why we decided to go with this company. The systems works with z-wave so you can also add other sensors from the store to it which is nice. The only minor thing I could say is that there was no clean up after installation (as far as drywall debris from wall drilling) but this was not a big deal to us. "
"I have had Frontpoint for 4 years to keep our vacation home safe. Now that we retired and live here I wanted to up grade and add some features. Alex Bodnar was OUTSTANDING. Very helpful in answering any and all my questions. Want to secure your family and home? Give him a call NOW 844.344.7890"
"The job went very smoothly. The tech ran a bit late, but he called to say so. He installed a keypad by the front door and assessed the house for security. He suggested, since there are several casement windows in the living room and adjoining dining room that a breaking glass sensor would work better and be more cost-effective than alarming all the windows. He did alarm a door that the previous company (inherited when we bought the house twenty-three years ago) had not considered significant. I feel safer with the current sensor choices than the ones I had before. He took the time to make sure I knew how to use the system, so I am very pleased with the service. My one caveat: I was told that the motion sensor would not register my smaller pets (two cats) because they weigh under forty pounds. They must have set off the sensor, though, because the police responded. The system certainly alerts the authorities, but that motion sensor is very sensitive! "
"CSI Secure Solutions were very prompt with their communication. The information given was what I requested. I found this investigative service very helpful and very professional. I would definitely use again in the future. "
"That's the name I am vaguely familiar with; it's a home security company that is license to ADT franchise or dealer if I am correct. They were very good. They were prompt; they were quality. The individuals move their business. They were very timely and it was a good experience."
"Protect America Alarm Systems are wireless home security systems that are so advanced and yet uncomplicated that the consumer can install all components to the system themselves. Tech support is provided which makes installation easy and very user friendly. The system is monitored and response to alarm signal is quick and nearly immediate. ( I accidentally set it off a couple times having forgotten that it was set when we left home). I've had a couple different systems in my homes over the years which were "professionally" installed; one was wired the other wireless. I install this myself with the help of tech support, I'm 65years old in good health but of course not as agile as I was a few years ago, but this system was a piece of cake for me to install. Every access to my home has been covered as well as some interior sensors. All of which have functioned flawlessly from day one! "

It depends on your specific needs. A security system typically includes alarms, sensors for windows and doors , and 24/7 monitoring services, offering comprehensive protection with immediate response to potential threats. Cameras, on the other hand, primarily provide visual surveillance and evidence collection. A security system is preferable if your primary concern is deterring intruders and receiving real-time alerts. Cameras are ideal for monitoring and recording activities but might offer a different level of active protection. In many cases, a combination of both—a security system with integrated cameras—provides the most robust home security solution, offering prevention and documentation.
Security cameras do not need wiring if they are wireless, meaning they are battery-operated and can connect through Wi-Fi. You’ll need to change the batteries on a wireless camera and ensure you have a steady connection to Wi-Fi for video storage. If you have a wired security camera, you’ll need to plug it into an outlet or other power source and a DVR device.
Understanding the pros and cons of installing a home security system is the first step to deciding which one is right for you. A few of the advantages and disadvantages include:
Pros
Added security for your household
Reduced home insurance premiums
Many smart home integrations available
Security companies can monitor your home
Cons
Expensive setup costs
Subscription costs can add up quickly
Features may be vulnerable to hackers
Weak signal reduces the security of a wireless system
Leaving a light on at night probably does not deter burglars as much as we would like. While there isn’t much evidence supporting the theory that lights deter burglars, there’s not anything disproving it either. If you feel like it offers added security because a burglar thinks you’re at home, then you can set your lights to a timer so they go off and on at intervals, mimicking someone moving around inside the house at night. A better idea is to install motion sensor lights in your yard.
The main difference between different security sensor options is the type of motion each detects. A motion detector monitors obvious movements in hallways, entrances, and exits. On the other hand, a presence detector is more sensitive and captures smaller moves. A window sensor typically focuses on the opening and closing of the window, whereas a glass break sensor alarms you when a glass is broken.
