My name is Dakota, I am the owner of Walls Landscaping Co. We strive to meet the needs of our customers as well as their lawns. My line of work involves anything from lawn mowing to complete landscape renovations also from paving to retaining walls. I have been doing this line of work for over ten years, and recently branched off to start my own. We take the time to thoroughly complete the jobs we do, with the best prices we can find. We believe that every home owner should have a beautiful landscape to come home to each and every day.

"It went really well, they did everything exactly like we asked. Now our church has some curb appeal. I couldn’t be happier!"

Established in 2016. We offer many services including but not limited to: Landscape design/installation, lawn maintenance, seasonal clean up, grading, general dirt work, driveway preparation, aeration and over-seeding, bush hogging, snow removal, leaf removal, and shrub/tree trimming.

"Chris arrived and we went over what I would like done. We looked at the trees I wanted trimmed. Where I wanted to put mulch. Some gravel work. And wanted to have the lawn back in order. He was recommended and very trustworthy. I came home after he had worked the yard and it looked like a Lowe’s brochure photo. I was extremely impressed and will always call him for my yard work. He has an eye for the details and that means a lot in this area of work."

Lawn Fertilization and Treatment questions, answered by experts

Professionals employ protective measures such as covering or temporarily relocating plants, minimizing chemical usage, and carefully planning construction routes to avoid damage. These precautions preserve the integrity and appearance of the landscaping during projects.

Choosing fertilizers: slow-release for steady nutrients, organic for eco-friendliness, or specific blends for soil deficiencies or grass types.

In most cases, it is worth paying for professional lawn care. DIY lawn maintenance is possible, but it can get extremely time-consuming, especially to make your property look well-maintained. Not only is lawn maintenance time-intensive, but it can also get expensive, even to DIY, especially considering the cost of fuel and maintenance for your lawn care tools. Professional lawn care services average around $100 per service, making it a relatively inexpensive investment, especially for how much time it saves you.

On average, the cost of lawn fertilization is $250, ranging from $80 to $400, depending on the size of the lawn, its current condition, additional treatments, number of applications, fertilizer type, and location. Keep in mind that labor, tools, and equipment make up 80% to 90% of the total cost of lawn fertilization. Additional lawn treatment options include:

  • Lime treatment: $100–$150 per 1,000 square feet

  • Crabgrass treatment: $30–$80

  • Grub treatment: $30–$80

  • Mulching: $150–$400

  • Dethatching: $265–$295

Carpetgrass is a low-maintenance grass requiring little fertilization that thrives in subprime growing conditions. However, regular mowing is necessary to avoid the growth of unsightly seed stalks, and you may have to water it frequently to prevent drying out the soil. That includes watering the grass over dry winters to help keep it healthy, and it may start dying out in particularly cold climates where it grows poorly. Carpetgrass can also be vulnerable to some types of turf fungus, so it’s important not to overthatch.
