He sounded great and told us that he will get back to us in a week with an estimate.
No response after the initial appointment. Called and emailed multiple times. Left numerous voicemails.
The staff repeatedly told us every time we call that Mike will call you back and he never did.
Very unprofessional and unresponsive.
It took 5 messages and 2 emails to receive an initial call back. My husband and I had both left messages initially and I have yet to receive a response to my calls and emails.
After we finally established contact, we were told someone would be out immediately to review and provide an estimate. After 3 weeks of the run around, promising he would be out and never showing up or even calling, John finally came and looked at our property. He said he would get us an estimate within a week. Well, a week came and went and we called to see where our estimate was...John said we would have it in 5 days and thanked us for being patient with him. Another 5 days came and went. We called John to check on the status of the estimate to which he responded that they had technical issues and if we didn't have by April 18th he would drive it out himself. April 18th passed without an estimate and without any contact. We contacted again and were told that he hoped to get to it soon...so that means he still hadn't even written the estimate in over a month when he alluded that we had not received it because of computer issues. We stopped calling after essentially begging this company to take our money for 45 days.
With routine lawn service they are supposed to trim the shrubbery twice a year and that doesn't get done. The results of their lawn service is shoddy at best. Patches of grass are missed, grass cuttings are left all over the yard, sidewalks and driveway to be tracked in the house, nutsedge and various weeds have taken over the yard and continue to go untreated. Their solution to leaf removal is to blow them into the natural areas instead of hauling them away.
For instance, I asked for an irrigation system quote. Shortly thereafter, my lawn was serviced with lime and I found out they called
the utility companies to mark my lawn. I had to call Grayson immediately to have them cancel the request since I didn’t order or sign
anything for an irrigation system. I especially didn’t want my gorgeous lawn marked with bright red or yellow spray paint.
I had also inquired about aeration, seeding and fertilization. After getting the $225.00 price I wasn’t completely sure I needed this service and was going to ask around for pricing. My lawn was only a year old. I told them I would get back to them and I wasn’t sure I needed this service and would let them know. They confused getting a quote with asking for the service again. There was a cool week in September and I came home from work at lunch to find my lawn had been mowed down to the nub and the lawn was trimmed along with a few shrubs (by accident of course). I had a gorgeous fescue lawn. They also mowed part of my neighbor’s
lawn by accident. Since I never ordered the service, they didn’t know where the property lines were even though there is a property stake by my driveway. I sent an urgent email at that time and told them what happened to my neighbors lawn. By then I was going to go ahead with the aeration even though I didn’t order it. I had an option to mow my own lawn which I would have done.
I came home from work a little earlier that same day to find a stranger sitting on top of a bucket in the middle of my lawn with several
bags of products on my lawn as well. Then as I looked into the back of my yard there was a huge tractor crashed into my back yard fence. (Very similar to another complaint about this company). They tried to aerate a hill using a large tractor and some heavy industrial machinery on a four foot wide grassy area along a flower bed. The tractor slid down the small area where it barely
fit and crashed into my fence breaking 5 boards. They tried numerous attempts to get the tractor out of my fence. No one called me about the issue at all to alert me about the damage. Someone came back with a bobcat to get the tractor out of my fence. With the numerous attempts and the heavy equipment use, that area was completely ruined with ruts, burned grasses from the engine and to top it all off, they unplanted about 3 mums and 3 junipers and ran over 4 others. They put new boards, planted the plants back
but mostly in the wrong spots, put seed on top of bare spots and they said they repaired the ruts from the tractors. I was told my lawn would look even better in 2-3 weeks. It would have been impossible to get that tractor in my backyard ut it was aerated, so I am not sure why they used the tractor on that small strip of grass. After assessing all the damage, the bare spots on the front,
the plants loosely planted back, the ruts still noticeable. I cried because I had spent hours on my lawn that entire year and for a company to come in and just treat it like it was farm land was extremely shocking. I asked for a detailed report about the damage. They would not give me one but said they repaired the fence and covered the ruts. It also appeared that they pulled my plants out
of the ground instead of digging a wider hole to avoid the roots. I waited 3 weeks for my yard to repair and it wasn’t going so well. I had to buy lots more seed and top soil. I had to water like it was a brand new lawn again. I noticed all those plants they ran over or
unplanted were dying. I had to spend hours and hours back into the yard where I had it perfect. Two months, four months go by and still not back to normal. I had to finally put sod in the bare spots in the front yard because I was getting weeds. I have never seen anything like this. The lawn was not growing like it should and not repairing. I found out they did not add fertilizer nor tell me
that it needed it. I did not pay for the service that they performed that day. I also wanted payment for the damages to the plants and yard. They refused. They also think a multi-color fence is ok too. Their comments to me were, {you did not pay your invoice we are even and you still have the best lawn in the neighborhood.} My yard was ruined by this company and it has taken 6 months to
get it back to normal after hours and hours of work. I had to replace those plants in the flower bed. I also hired another company to start servicing the lawn like a true professional! I don’t live in an upscale neighborhood but that doesn’t mean you should give me crappy service and products and think that I condone irresponsible decisions because of where I live. I do not think my lawn should be compared to the lawns on the rest of the street. Compare it to how it was before. If it is not looking better than before 3-4 weeks after you serviced it then you obviously are not doing a service.
"We do not agree with the position of this review. After being in business for almost 15 years and performing thousands of service calls a year, there are times where a customer may not be 100% happy. We pride ourselves in our work and the job we do. The true character of a company is reflected in its ability to handle these situations. Contrary to what was stated, this individual approached us as we completed a project at her next door neighbor’s home. She stated that she was unhappy with her current landscape company and wanted to find someone new. After we quoted the work to be performed, she sent emails both requesting our service as well as confirming when the service would be scheduled. Upon completion of work, her additional requests were followed up on within 48 hours. It was not until after 90 days and her payment was delinquent that she began sending extremely long emails stating her service was not up to par and began her list of unreasonable demands. Fortunately, we did check on the property and document everything including taking photos. As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. Here is a photo of the backyard taken 4 weeks after the seeding took place: facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151385443911961&set=a.10151385443781961.1073741825.310881596960&type=3&src=https%3A%2F%2Fsphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net%2Fhphotos-ash3%2F733778_10151385443911961_2129346693_n.jpg&size=360%2C480"
