"We could not have been more pleased with the way our closets turned out. We were impressed with the entire process, especially our consultant, Deb, who really worked with us for a fully customized, spacious, and functional design, and the installation team, Aaron and DeNecia, who kept the installation mess free and were such a pleasure to have in our home. It’s been a life-changing investment, and we are so glad we finally made the call. We would highly recommend this team to anyone!"

Small jobs welcome

"Sabino was magnificent. I hired him for custom closets only to find out during the initial phase that there was a much bigger problem with water damage to subflooring and framing that affected even the stonework on the front of the house. Sabino and his crew fixed everything spectacularly (stonework, framing, drywall, gutter issue flooring, subfloor, painting, etc.) before he even had the opportunity to build any custom closets (which ended up being perfect, by the way!) I will definitely hire him again for work."

"I would highly recommend this company for any kind of project. David listened to my ideas about redesigning a pantry, keeping in mind my needs and budget. His work is impeccable, and handled every detail with precision and high quality. The results were amazing and just what I requested. David worked with precision, cleaned up without a trace of anything having been done, and highly recommend his work to anyone."

"Mr. Battle showed up on time and did any excellent job on a three-piece crown molding on a 12-foot ceiling running through four rooms. Thorough, professional, detail oriented, and very conscientious about the customer being fully satisfied. Also a really nice guy."

Closets questions, answered by experts

The differences between a built-in closet and a walk-in aren’t that different from a built-in wardrobe and a walk-in closet. It’s fairly simple—a walk-in closet is a closet you can physically enter, stand in, and walk around in. A built-in (whether wardrobe or closet) is more akin to covered shelves installed into a recess in the wall. Another big difference is walk-in closets almost always have traditional full-size doors, while built-ins either have no doors or use sliding doors.

Since they are so fragile, it is not usually recommended to stack anything on top of your packed lamps. If you have sturdy boxes, and what you plan to put on top of them is of a similar weight, it’s okay to stack.

Although you can complete a closet frame in just an afternoon, finishing the entire closet will take a few days to a week. However, that’s still not as much as the average time it takes to remodel a closet, which can take anywhere from several weeks to more than a month. That’s because you also have to consider the time it will take to demolish the existing space, plan a new design, order materials, and actually install it.

You can turn an adjacent room into a walking closet by just rearranging the room. This means removing the furniture and adding racks and an island in the center if you have that in your budget. Houses with two bedrooms connected to each other are great options for large walk-in closets that don't require any structural changes or much building whatsoever.

To prevent sagging, consider both the material and the span of the shelf. Using sturdy materials such as plywood or solid wood can provide better support than particleboard. Additionally, limiting the shelf span to 36 inches or less can reduce the risk of sagging. For longer shelves, incorporating center supports or brackets can offer additional reinforcement.
