Allen Home Renovation and Painting

We initially contacted Mr. Allen to repair a pocket door in our kitchen. He more than met our expectation because we had been told the door would need to be removed and it did not. He replaced the door threshold with a new oak one and fixed our problem. We then contacted him to assist in the lock of our back door and it took him all of 15 minutes. So we asked him about building shelves in our garage. This is something I have wanted for over 5 years and they are wonderful. Took him less than 2 days to do two full walls of shelves, floor to ceiling at a great cost...less than I would have had to pay to have new drywall and metal shelving. And...the day he was doing the shelving our power went off. So he wired our generator to our power box so we no longer have to use extensions to protect our home power. He definitely knows his stuff...he seems to be able to do just about anything we need. We can't wait to see what next project we will have for him.

Mr Allen was very knowledgeable his work and explained what he was doing to repair the locking mechanism on my storm door even though the that I received from Larson Doors was not the correct part. I will have to return it.

It was difficult to find someone to install my exterior window shutters, but Mr. Allen did an excellent job. My house looks so beautiful with the addition of the decorative shutters. Reasonably priced and a skilled professional. Allen Renovations and Painting will be my go to for future projects.

We hired him for couple of projects like roller shades installation, fans and curtain rods. He is very professional and completed everything. Overall I am completely satisfied with the work.

Phil Allen did an excellent job replacing interior and exterior molding around our patio door and painting/sealing our front door and shutters. He is prompt, personable, knowledgeable, and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend him and will likely hire him again for other projects and repairs.

Phil Allen does a great job in home renovations. We had Phil do several tasks in our home: interior/exterior painting, fixing doors/drawers, replacing windows, enlarging a window, replacing siding, installing a chandelier, installing outdoor house lights, caulking, and wall mounting a TV to a stone wall. Phil is an honest man and true to his work. He is dedicated and prompt. When he finds extra things that could be fixed around the house, he offers to fix them. Overall, we are very pleased with the work that Phil has done to our home. We'd recommend him and plan on using his services again in the future!

Our 65 yr old house originally had a sunroom off from the dining room that had been converted to a 2nd living area approx 15 yrs ago before we purchased the home. We decided to change that room back to a sunroom. We did the demo ourselves of the closets and inside walls that were added when 2 very large windows were removed. We had Universal Windows to put windows back in the openings where the originals were and hired Mr Allen to transform the rest of the room into a beautiful sunroom with tile floor, sheetrock & painted walls (after the wallpaper, paneling was removed). repaired outside door, closet doors hung and painted. We love It and it is gorgeous.

Mr Allen came in after we had already spent 4 wks and over $3,000 on our master bathroom remodel that we realized was not what it was supposed to be - had to tear out the work already done, tile, flooring and replace floor joists, electrical wiring, plumbing, rotten 2x4s in the walls, seal off a sewage drain etc. He even built our vanity for our cultured marble sink/counter top. His painting is topnotch also.

He did an excellent job. We ordered a new pantry door for the kitchen and it wasn't cut properly. He came over made some adjustments, cut it down to the proper size and we are very pleased. We'd definitely recommend him and would call upon him again for any other services. THANK PHIL!!!

The job was to paint most of the interior walls of my house from dark colors to Olympic White. I was fortunate to get two estimates from Home Advisor. The first was from a company with an estimator and separate work crew. My experience with this type of company is negative because of poor communications and overall quality. Work crews are generally unskilled, don't speak English, and usually find surprises after they start. The second estimate was from Phil Allen. He was prompt, friendly and highly experienced. He is flexible and will quote a fixed price or time & materials. I chosed time $ materials because I wanted to be involved to save his time by prepping the rooms (moving furniture and removing wallplates) and finishing. I wanted Phil to focus on the his painting expertise and leave the mundane work to me. I ended up with a superior job, added additional work items, and saved over a $1000 below the first offer.
