"Melida personally came out to look at the home and discuss the areas we were looking to have cleaned and how often. She offered a reasonable price for the monthly service and provided a brochure with everything they cover during the cleaning. My parents were not only impressed with Melida coming to meet us personally but the thoroughness of the three person cleaning crew is amazing. Blinds, baseboards, washing of floors, and our bathrooms were extremely clean. After each cleaning, the house smells fresh and ready to move forward for the next month. With my parents getting older this has been a wonderful experience and Melida is easy to get ahold of and very willing to work with our schedule."

Customers say: True professional

"Iris is simply amazing!!! Such a nice and kind lady and also a hard worker! Requested a “deep clean” of our home. Not only the regular cleaning attention to details were met, but cleaned ovens, 3 refrigerators, shelves and cabinets. Will certainly hire her again!! Wish I could give more than 5 stars!"

House Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Most DIY floor cleaners don’t require rinsing, but you’ll want to make sure you don’t add too much dish soap or oil to the cleaner to avoid having to rinse it after cleaning. For non-wood floors, mix 8 parts warm water, 1 part vinegar, and 1 part baking soda with a few drops of dish soap. For wood floors, use olive oil in that same mixture instead of the vinegar. You can let these solutions air-dry after cleaning your floors with them, although you should manually dry your floors if they aren’t waterproof.

A standard professional cleaning of an entire apartment typically takes 2 to 3 hours. However, the timing varies depending on the size of the apartment, the number of people and pets that live in it, and how frequently it is cleaned. A deep cleaning typically takes 4 to 6 hours.

Baking soda can take between 15 minutes and a few hours to deodorize a refrigerator or other area. Baking soda acts as a pH neutralizer for the acidic nature of smells. Placing an open box of baking soda in your refrigerator can help keep smells at bay.

It depends on the surface you’re trying to clean. For example, a mixture of vinegar and water is a good option for a deep cleaning, including removing hard water stains from glass or stainless steel. However, vinegar is too acidic for granite and other types of natural stone, so it’s better to use a combination of baking soda and water on those surfaces.

The most sanitary way to mop a floor is with a microfiber mop and two buckets of water: one with cleaning solution and one without. Use the soapy water to mop the floor and rinse the mop in the clean water. When the water gets dirty, pour it out and replace it with new water. This mopping technique ensures the mop stays cleaner and prevents the spread of dirt and bacteria.
