"Craig came out to our house in mid-May to inspect the chimney exterior. He emailed us an estimate with "before" photos of our chimney a few days later. We made a decision and called to schedule the work. Fortunately, we were able to get a firm date and time for late June. Craig did the actual work. He then emailed the "after" photos. He was very knowledgeable, punctual, and polite. A job well done. I highly recommend Clean Sweep Chimney Solutions."

"Fast and friendly service. I needed my deck repaired, and they did a beautiful job. Mr. Lavalle pressure washed my home exterior and put in new outside lighting, and trimmed the bushes in front of my house. I'm having more work done in August, and E R Chimney Sweeps will be doing that, too. Not only does my deck look beautiful, but I was charged a very low price."

"He let me know that the chimney didn't need to be cleaned and also let me know how much Chimney cap and insert would cost. He told me both fireplaces were working and ready to burn wood."

"I was amazed at the work they performed. I contacted Ryan to explain about my old house that had a very sooty and mossy brick chimney...not to mention a very dirty brick patio. I was worried that the old grout in my brick would be damaged by pressure washing, Ryan assured me that they would be very gentle...by first treating problem areas, scrubbing if needed and then rinsing with gentle pressure. He said they could also clean the wooden part of my house and deck. They cleaned the wooden areas and did not damage any old paint. They did an outstanding job...above and beyond my expectations. The crew was very punctual and polite...they completed the job in the promised time frame. I will definitely hire Excel Pro Services for other work. My old house has a fresh new look....Thank You Ryan and crew!!!"

"BTR was expected to arrive at my house at 8am, they arrived around 7:30 to get ahead start, because it was expected to rain some time that day.  It was a 3 men crew including the owner, Bill McHugh. It was pleasure meeting Bill.  I admire and respect his profession.   The crew was very nice and professional at all times.  They took off all the old wood and masonite siding (siding that is no longer used on new homes) and replace it with High Density siding.  It looks wonderful.  My husband and I was responsible for providing the paint which I was afraid the color may not blend with rest of the house, but the crew did not seem concern.  The chimney repair turn out wonderful.  Bill stated that they do repairs like these  all the time, so they have all the knowledge and expertise to do a good job.  I do thank BTR for their service and time.  It was well worth the money I paid.  I also spoke to Bill about additional wood repairs around the entire house.  I will definitely use BTR for future services.

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

"I showed them the inspection report and request for repairs I had received. They agreed the nail holes in the roof needed to be caulked and quoted me $500. I was in a bind and had to have the work done, although I thought this cost was quite high for a job that took just over an hour."

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

Yes, professionals can often retrofit models with minimal disruption.

No, range hoods do not necessarily have to be vented outside. Ductless or non-vented range hoods are available, which are common in condos or small kitchens where connecting to external ductwork isn't feasible. These hoods operate by taking in air, filtering it through charcoal filters to help eliminate smoke and odors, and then recirculating the cleaned air back into the kitchen. However, while these recirculating hoods are more versatile, venting to the outside is still the preferred and more effective method for completely removing smoke, odors, and gases from the room.

A higher CFM will make the price of your range hood more expensive. It can be challenging to speculate how much the CFM rating affects price, but ductless range hoods—that don’t need as high of a CFM as ducted range hoods—are less expensive than their alternative. On average, ductless hoods cost between $100 and $300, while ducted hoods can cost as much as $1,000.

No, you can’t install just any microwave over your range. You have to get a specific type of microwave known as an over-the-range unit. These include venting and lighting features that you’ll need above your stovetop.

Although countertop units are more affordable, they won’t work for this type of installation. To avoid hazardous conditions in your kitchen, buy the right type of microwave for your needs.

By positioning ductwork for optimal airflow and reducing potential leaks.
