"Wayne Ducolon came to the house promptly with Dylan and installed a front door and garage door. I was well pleased with their work. They also rekeyed three new locks for my home and repaired my roof. I was pleased with their results and would highly recommend them for any home or roof repair, addition, or remodeling. Great job. Wayne was very polite and Dylan was a steady worker. Thanks guys!!!"

"I can’t thank Jim enough for the work he and his crew did. I needed some repairs done on my house to pass a VA appraisal and I needed them done quick. Not only did Jim come out the next day to assess the damage. He had his crew there in a couple days. The guys were very professional and kept me updated their progress the entire time. These guys did quality work and were able to complete the repairs in one day. Everything went great on the re inspection and the appraiser even commented on how well the work was done."

A spray foam roof lasts 20 to 30 years if installed and maintained correctly. Spray foam roofs should be recoated every 10 to 15 years to maintain the UV protection and waterproof surface of the foam material. The longevity of spray foam roofing will depend on the thickness and density of the foam, the protective coating, and how well it’s maintained.

A square of shingles covers 100 square feet and usually ranges from 150 to 240 pounds. It all depends on the material and type of shingle.

During the framing process, builders connect the roof to the walls with materials, including metal connectors, plywood panels, and wood blocks. These roof-to-wall connections are important and provide weatherproofing, noise and temperature insulation, protection against pests, and home integrity. The type of connector and method used will vary, depending on your home’s construction and needs, and each has pros and cons in terms of cost, noise insulation, longevity, and reliability. Talk with your home or roofing contractor about the best connectors for your roof and walls, and what they recommend for your home.

Yes, moss can be dangerous for your roof if left in place to grow without treatment. The moss soaks up and holds moisture. Having a constantly damp roof could lead to problems with rot for the parts of the roof that consist of wood. Additionally, a patch of thick moss may draw insects and birds, which could damage the roof. Thick moss could block the roof’s drainage system. Water then may back up after a rainstorm and cause further damage that could eventually lead to roof repair expenses or the cost of roof replacement.

No, cool roofs are not suitable for all climates. Cool roofs are very good at reflecting solar heat, so they’re suitable for homes in warm or hot climates. However, they’re not good at retaining heat, so they’re not suitable for homes in cold climates.
