"John did a great job building our custom cabinets. As a contractor myself I appreciate attention to detail. John and his crew were very thorough. He came back after a couple of weeks to check on everything to be sure we were 100% satisfied. I'd recommend Superior Custom Cabinetry to everyone. Great job John!!"

"Great honest contractors. They did my bathrooms, hot water heater, unclogged my house drain and they did a French drain so my basement is not wet anymore. I already hired them to do my whole roof in the spring. I will hire them anytime."

"Found Sentri on Angi. Jeanette and Violet were very pleasant and efficient in getting a contractor to me in the time frame needed. The contractor was excellent and the roof looks great! I would definitely work with them again if I had additional projects."

"Best of the best. Mr Junior Green is the most outstanding contractor I've ever work with. He is pleasant, sincere and honest business man. He insured his sub-contractors did quality work and clean up meticulously after themselves. The mistake was made by one of his sub-contractor Raul Ortiga Sanchez,Who unfortunately failed to take responsibility for his error and wanted to be paid again to the work the second time. Mr junior green told me to pay clean hands company less than the original estimate because Mr. Green could wanted to pay off the corrective action problem of the sub contractor. Many thanks to Mr. Junior Green!"

Cabinet Contractors questions, answered by experts

DIY is possible, but professional assembly ensures proper alignment, stability, and cable management.

We recommend installing wall cabinets first so the base cabinets aren’t in the way. This order also prevents damage to the base cabinets if you drop tools or materials when installing the upper cabinets.

Solid wood is the most common material for cabinet bases. It’s a popular choice because it’s durable and will hold up over time. Oak, maple, cherry, hickory, and pine are all types of solid wood that can be used to build cabinet bases. Other options include plywood, medium-density fiberboard, and other types of manufactured lumber, but they need to be sealed properly to avoid swelling, separating, and delamination from moisture.

Typically, a medicine cabinet should be installed about 60 to 72 inches above the floor. This height ensures that it's easily accessible for most individuals while allowing for proper visibility and convenience. However, the ideal height may vary based on individual preferences and the average eye level of the users in your household.

Before making any big plans, climb up a step ladder and closely examine the top of your cabinets. You’ll get to see what sort of clean-up work needs to be done, but you can also check for any unexpected obstacles. Sometimes this space holds electrical boxes, wiring, or even plumbing components. Those will affect plans to install a new layer of cabinets or shelves.
