"I've worked with many tree companies over decades of home ownership, Hyler is my favorite. Greg Hyler and team were an absolute pleasure to work with from start-to-finish. A skilled, experienced, and very friendly team. They took down difficult trees that could have easily caused damage to the yard with total skill, climbing when needed, dropping when it made the most sense, and doing their work with respect to the yard and surroundings. They showed-up right when they said they would (day and time), the estimating process was a breeze, and the cost was extremely reasonable."

"Stump Pros gave me my backyard back. It took me a year and a half to work up the courage to call anyone, but Paul and I shook hands on a great price 45 minutes after I picked up the phone to call him. He and the crew came back a couple days later and did a spectacular job. These guys are hard working, respectful and get the job done right - for an honest price."

"Kikers Tree Service arrived on 07-25-2019 and began working immediately. They cut down 7 trees that were huge. Four trees at least 100' or more. This was our 3rd time using Kikers Tree Service and each time we are pleased. After calling other tree services we decided Kikers was the one that could best handle our needs. They cleared all debris and blew off our deck and patio. They were precise and orderly. We had the trees removed due to storms. During a recent storm one tree lost limbs that fell on our roof and fence. We were very fortunate no roof damage only satellite dish damage."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

The best tool to cut trees is a chain saw. You can adjust your chain saw to the correct size based on the size of the branches, offering you the fastest and cleanest cut for medium- to large-sized trees. Depending on the type of chainsaw you use, you can cut through larger trees than you would with a more manual tool like an ax.

Yes, it’s possible to overwater a newly-planted tree. Daily watering is great for the first few weeks, but it’s important not to go overboard. Excessive watering can lead to various problems, including root rot, fungal diseases, and a lack of root development.

No. Most of the time, suckers are only a sign that the tree is experiencing stress. However, they can also be the canary in the coal mine, letting you know that something else is stressing your tree. If you have lots of suckers on your tree, calling in an arborist or a tree care expert is always a good call to determine the cause and develop a solution that de-stresses your tree.

You can start your search for a reputable arborist online by looking for professionals who hold the proper licensing and are fully insured. Next, read through some online reviews to see what kind of service the expert brings to the table, and confirm that they don’t have a history of complaints with the Better Business Bureau. Finally, you can ask the professional for a list of references and then call them to ask questions about the service, professionalism, value, and more that the expert brings to the table.

It could be anywhere from weeks to years for a dead tree to fall. A dead tree falls based on its weight, how it leans, the state of its roots, the state of decay, and what local windstorms are like, among other factors. Since it’s hard to predict the fall’s timing, it’s important to cut down a dead tree quickly and avoid any unpleasant surprises.
